Thx everyone for your replies, much appreciated...🙏

My 25 years old F150 had a Duraliner, one-piece, drop-in bedliner, still looked like new when sold it. It was made by Penda and the same company makes the bedliner for the Maverick as OEM part. The company also makes the same with Duraliner logo, instead of Ford, for about a third less than the OEM liner.

I ordered sprayin bedliner, but Ford didn't deliver it as such. On the other hand, they lowered the final cost for the missing bedliner...

I did not install the bedliner/mudflapper myself for number of reasons. One is, that it is winter and don't have a garage. The other is that getting old sucks, it does limit what you can and cannot do.

The dealer did not install the bedliner correctly and admitted that much; also stated that they will correct this but need to get information about how to from Ford. They estimated that in two weeks, they'll have everything what they need. That does not give me much confidence, the chances are, that they threw away the leftover parts. We will see how it'll work out. The mudflappers are what they are. I will either modify them, or get a better one in the spring.

Yeah, this is a bed experience with the dealer, but have to wait until they correct it. If not, thanks to you guys I have the information for how to proceed in that case.
It's a bummer. When I bought my bedliner with Fordpass points and went to pick up from my closest dealer, the service department did not inspire any confidence. Just watching them stand around and talk I thought, yeah no way they are touching this truck. Goobers for sure.

Dealers are all about profit. These small attention to detail jobs require to much time for them to do correctly. They probably had the quick lube kid making 15 an hour install your liner.

It's always funny to me when people refer to 15 an hour as not enough money to do a job. Man, if you would have told 2002 me I could knock down 15 an hour, I'd be pumped! :ROFLMAO: Times change, I get it, but still get a kick out of it.

As stated earlier, this is the first time I've used the dealer for accessory installation and certainly will be the last. But that's like putting on a raincoat after the rain....

I would have them remove the drop in, refund your money, and then you can just go and get a spray in somewhere. LineX and the other brands are all around.

I think they would offer to re-install with the cutouts, but what they did is basically what's in the installation instructions so getting a refund for the whole part seems unlikely. Best of luck!

What do they need instructions for, and two weeks? The cutting spots are marked on the back side of the liner.

What do you mean that "getting a refund for the whole part seems unlikely"? We'll see about that; they'll either fix it, or I get my money back. CT has pretty good consumer protection agency and they also have a "Lemon Law" , when it comes to vehicles. Although in my experience, most companies tend to respond much quicker to twitter and other social media, than to the state. They don't want PR noise spreading around....

Update...

As cleaned the snow from my truck today, noticed that the gluing strip is not installed either for the front panel of the badliner. Is it possible that at high speed (55 -60 mph) on the highway that front panel would fly off? It's not likely that I'll on the highway, but this would be good to know in advance...

I'd have them take this thing out and get a refund. Did you buy on a credit card or roll into the purchase price?

I’m in CT too and my self installed Ford liner did not peel away at the front due to the snow today and it has seen high interstate speeds since install as well.
Please share/warn us what dealer this was that “serviced” you.

The liner was not included in the purchase price, paid by check. The Stamford Ford and Lincoln dealer charges extra for credit card payment. That should've been the first sign for the quality of their service...

Update...

The dealer replied to my email and this is what they've stated, quote:

"The Drop In Bedliner that was ordered from Ford unfortunately does not allow access the various rear bed areas that you need. The only way to protect the bed and provide you the access to those areas is to work with an outside vendor for a Spray In Bedliner, which I know is what you originally ordered and it was deleted from Ford.

A Spray In Liner from our outside vendor for a Maverick is usually $1,400.00. What we propose is that we credit you back the total cost of the Drop In Liner and discount your Spray In Liner to $1,200.00 (which is cost to us). We would would work with our outside vendor to secure a reservation for the spray in liner and you would work directly with Service to drop off the truck for a few days.

The other potential fix that you return the truck here and we work to physically cut out the areas necessary on the installed Drop In Liner to provide access to those areas at no charge to you."

At this point, I'd rather opt for the "credit you back the total cost of the Drop In Liner" option, about six "C" bills, as long as it cash and not credit. The Platinum Linex Spray In Liner would run couple of "C" bills more, and place is about seven miles away from me. I'll deal with "outside vendor" myself, would take only one day, thank you...

I have no trust in their service...

PS: I am really not happy about this regardless how it ends, but at this point the chain of events are in motion already. I would had been perfectly happy, if they did do it right at the first time... .

This is a s__t show for sure. Doesn't allow access... It's literally on the videos to cut them out. That's why it gives an outline.

Push the refund. Go get it done yourself. Sounds like you may be outside the US so you can track down the costs local, but where I live the spray in third party is about the same cost as the drop in from the dealer.

I wouldn't really like living with the hack job on the mud flaps either, but that is at least usable and a small value until you make a decision on what next there.

I wonder what they did with the extra hardware from the rear mudflaps including the metal clips and brackets they didn't install. (BTW, the missing metal clips for the screw holes will not fit properly flush on the edges of rear mudflaps, as shown in a previous reply, regardless of who installs. That is a design flaw.)

I wouldn't be very worried about the front of the bedliner flying off on the highway, but it's possible.

I installed both of these items myself recently, and although I didn't do the bedliner cutouts (might revisit that in spring/summer), I was well aware of the need to do so for most people who would want to access the storage behind them.

Not much more to be said on the topic, other than a spray-in bedliner is not a 1:1 replacement for drop-in; they both have pros and cons that are discussed in many other threads.

Why would you opt for a drop in liner if you ordered a spray in liner?
Does your dealer not offer spray in liners? Pretty sure ALL truck dealers offer that
If this is the best that the dealer could do with a simple DIY DIBL install I think the OD is lucky that the dealer didn't spray anything. The dealer tech screwed up. The dealer needs to fix it.

Once it is fixed I think it is time to find a new dealer for service.
