That would be nice if they would adjust that for distance. Any luck with previewing Maverick orders today?
Back in the 70's they did just that. One could drive from say Las Vegas to Detroit trade their old car get the new one and drive home. Shipping from Dearborn assembly may have been $125.00. to Vegas $900.00 too many folks were doing that. So one size fits all.

Why is FORD making this so difficult for customers that are patiently waiting to get the Maverick they ordered at the price on the date the order was taken? DORA this, COVP that, I'm sorry(dealer) I don't know how to do that. How does FORD justify that the customer must do all the legwork to ensure the dealer does what FORD should mandate.
Sorry just venting, I really want my Maverick and it seems FORD doesn't want me to have one.

@fordvideoguy My truck shipped on Jan 11 and is currently waiting for a semi to pick it up from its rail destination and take it to my dealer. Do you know if my price will come back as $500 higher when I go to pick it up?

I was originally a ‘22 order with a VIN that got cancelled and rolled to ‘23. I think that my dealer said there was no way to submit COVP when my order was rolled over automatically by Ford, because the COVP window had already closed. My dealer has been difficult, so I’m just trying to determine if I’ll have to fight for that $500 or not.
Agree with @woozoo it has been built before the price increase. Your good.

They won't do a breakdown. It's an easy way to pad margins. It doesn't cost anywhere near $1600 to ship it.
My Mini shipped from England was less than $900 destination. Pretty obvious what they are doing.
Just received an email moving my prod. date up a week to Feb. 13.

Thank you for the update. I would like to see Ford show the cost breakdown on the Shipping Fee. 1595 seems like a big price for a Maverick.
Here are some educated guesses on costs baked into this:
  1. Storage - many auto plants store vehicles offsite to hold for repairs/updates/final inspections
  2. Drivers - automakers hire 3rd party drivers to drive vehicles to and from storage lots
  3. Rail shipping & storage
  4. Road shipping & storage
  5. "Final-mile" delivery
  6. Possibly - if I recall correctly - cost to prep vehicle at dealer (Ford pays dealers a set amount per vehicle)

If its like MY22, there will be more increases as it gets closer to the MY24 order banks opening. Its Fords marketing way of be able to say theirs only a small increase from MY23 to MY24. Sounds like MY23 order holders will have the same cluster nightmare the MY22 order holders went through. Grease up and get ready....o_O

Agreed. I think it’s around $1500 for Toyota to ship all the way from Japan.

Effective today, all trims had a price increase of $400 and Destination and Delivery increase of $100. You should be price protected by your dealer if they COVP'd your order. The person who ordered the vehicle needs to be the person who buys it to get price protection. I would request the DORA sheet from the time you ordered from your dealers. If they don't have it, they can be reprinted by the General Sales Manager or Inventory Manager.
Every one go get that illinois farm bureau membership now. Boom.

Thanks for the update. This is atrocious! They are raising prices on vehicles they can't build fast enough! Why add insult to injury!?
