My parts guy told me Friday that instead of being discontinued they probably just suspended sales due to shortages. Since they need them for production vehicles.

Cosmetic, I do not believe they make one for the Hybrid.

Your parts guy is wrong, Ford is not going to make them any more and they make it pretty clear.

It was a passing conversation, he wasn't looking up the part for me as I had ordered mine back in June and installed it last Month.

Ford has changed the 2.0 engine cover once before. Perhaps they are changing it again.

I saw a local dealer has an escape on the used car lot. Pictures show it has the cover. Hoping I can offer the dealer a few bucks for it!

If you really want an engine cover, the corresponding Lincoln EB one is still in production, is about the same price, and has the same part number with a "B" at the end - K2GZ-6A949-B.

I just received one, and it looks exactly the same as the Ford part, except with that sweet, sweet Lincoln chrome.

You can probably get a decal to cover the Lincoln logo.

Did you put this on yet? Someone in another thread just got one. Just curious if exact fit and does the Lincoln badge come off?

Installed the Escape engine cover today.

Used tire paint pens to do the lettering to match interior of XLT.

Nice and clean
