My dealer just called and said they got an IDENTICAL Maverick on the lot, I don’t have to wait for mine to be delivered in 3 weeks!

Wanted to share with y’all my good luck, hope you get YOURS soon!

Not sure how an “up for grabs” pickup got DELIVERED before mine, but I can tell you about a dealership that’s about to get an Area 51 Hybrid in stock that’s no longer mine…

A customer backed out of theirs when told it was showing up today. Is the dealer charging you any extra for it? Or are they doing a straight swap with yours that will show up in 3 weeks?

Seems strange. Dealer gets dinged if they have too many orders that don't go to person who ordered. Why would they add a second person not taking order for no benefit? Paying extra?

I agree with post above. Dealer can be penalized for too many Maverick's not delivered to the original orderer. OP, please let us know it this Mav is indeed IDENTICAL to your order and if the out the door price is the same. Thanks, and happy Mavericking!!

Be careful! My understanding is that if the vin and your name and info are not a perfect match, there will be problems to validate the Special Private Offer.

and . . . . . . after 442 days since I ordered, I too got the call today.

Delivery took 76 days from "Built" to dealer.

I'll be picking it up tomorrow -- been a long wait and like so many, a slew of disappointments along the way. I'll be getting $4,063 dollars off MSRP via the Ford "Private Offer" and "Z-Plan" from my uncle so that will put a Hybrid Lariat in my garage for about as low as it gets.

I certainly hope those that haven't gotten their Maverick yet, don't have to go through what many of us have.

After all the dealerships getting away with price gouging I've chose to turn down two Mavericks. They couldn't believe I would do this and when I gave them my answer there was no response. I've been a long time Ford owner but since this mess with Ford not delivering to people and with outrageous mark-ups I'm breaking ties with Ford. If this type of business model is acceptable for some people that's fine.

Same out-the-door price! In writing! First thing my dealer sent me was the sticker to show it was somehow the same color, same trim, same options - he said it was his DAY OFF but came in because he thought it was mine! (A dealer said this, so, maybe he exaggerated that last part)

I didn’t get offered enough for my trade-in, and left without the Maverick, but I’m gonna go back and get her tonight. I just have to devote my next couple weeks to selling this (beautiful! low mileage!) F-150 before my next payment or my spouse is gonna have me outside sleeping in it

If you had a 2022 that didn't get built you should have the private offer. If you're a brand new 2023 order then you wouldn't get it. Enjoy the Maverick.

If your order is based on a cancelled '22 vin, never built, or a rollover '22 order never scheduled; Ford has offered a discount (Special Private Offer of $2750). However, at this point, if you didn't already know about it, it likely doesn't apply to you. Ask your dealer to explain for your case.

So, should we assume you're "quitting" Chevy, Kia, Hyundai, Lexus, Toyota, and all the other makes as well, since there are dealers for each one of these vehicles that have been charging ADM on new, high-demand models? I guess that leaves Tesla for you to do business with, since they don't have dealers who can mark up the cars...
