Anybody know the size of the battery in the 2.0 L maverick?
How many cold cranking amps? Top post or side post?
I ordered on 17 SEPT, so I‘m sure I have a wait ahead of me.
Optima doesn’t make one specifically for the maverick yet otherwise I would know.
I’ve read the specs but ford didn’t list it. It’s not as though I go down to Seekins ford and pop the hood on one, they don’t have any in.

H6 48 group size, 700 amp, top post. If you go to parts.ford.com you can search for this stuff. It's also in the owner's manual on p357.

They put a fairly beefy battery in it because of the auto stop start. The ford site list it as 700 A but the aftermarket sites all say 760+.

When the dealer replaced my battery, it received a nice 760/CCA-AGM unit - FYI

Thanks for the link to the owners manual, and for answering my questions. I appreciate it.

Why did they have to replace it to begin with? There seems to be a fair amount of threads here where people are having battery issues with their 2.0 L trucks. I wonder if the folks with the bronco sport are having the same issues with these batteries?

One of the positive battery terminal connections was loose from the factory.

Good to hear that It isn’t an issue with the battery, lame that they were in a hurry and missed the punch list. Glad ford made it right.

If I were having to replace mine I would go with one of these. Super light and plenty of CCA they are pricey but you get what you pay for... https://antigravitybatteries.com/products/starter-batteries/automotive/ag-h6-rs/
The lithium batteries are complete garbage up here, if the battery that comes with it needs to be replaced I will put an optima yellow top in it. It will be winterized and have a battery tender installed, so the glass matt battery that comes with it should last at least 70 months.
If I lived in Texas, I agree that that battery in your link would be on my list.

Do some research. The Anti-gravity people have stepped up the game. Even if the LiPo battery does discharge you can hit a button without opening the hood to jump it out (internally). If I were somewhere it actually got cold I would probably add one of those stick on solar panels, since it has a built in BMS the solar would act like a trickle charger... as long as it was outside. Also, after I got to TX I quickly found out the heat is just as bad as the cold. Living in Ohio, West Virginia, and North Carolina (not really cold their) but I replace batteries much more often than I used to. Of course Alaska is waaay colder than any of the places I've been, and with the limited daylight hours in the winter it might not be the best solution 🤷‍♂️. The 60AH does have 1600 cranking amps

While in June when we have 21 hrs of daylight and temps in the 80’s, right now we’re at 3 ish hrs. of daylight, and below 0° temps.
The sun doesn’t even get above the tree tops this time of year.
