Maybe I should have said issue, not plural. I'm currently experiencing the "Dead hybrid, battery harness issue" that others have. The dealer told me to wait until after Christmas to coordinate resolution, but mine sits dead meanwhile.
I'm not ready to jump ship, but others with this issue have experienced long delays with repairs due to parts availability. We shall see, I will refrain from any more reliability comments pending my experience with this issue.
Wonder if the dealership will release vehicle without safety recalls being done 🤔

After it is sold, they cannot hold it for recalls.

Good point. I take it to them to diagnose the no-start issue and they hold it for the outstanding recall items (possibly having to wait for parts) for those too.

Looking for XL hybrid. Can you please share which dealers have trucks or allocations at MSRP?

Please, cease with the straw man attacks on me. You don't know me that well.

Further, this is irrelevant to this thread.

I was a professional Procurement Agent for 40 years and during those years I have purchased a minimum of 8 personal cars and trucks. I think in the 70’s with the gas shortage certain sub contract cars were in the position of the Maverick for inventory. People who wanted a subcompact would buy them over MSRP. The same was true with propane fuel and diesel power Cars and trucks. I owned a Ford courier in the 70’s which was close to the size of the current maverick except it was a 2 passenger truck. My point is I went in with a position not to pay over MSRP. I went over the 2022 MSRP but not over a estimated 2024 MSRP Which is the truck I would have had to order at a higher interest rate to finance. Now being 77 I am not going to wait to maybe mid 2025 to have a truck I want and don’t need. So you want me to wait perhaps 30 months when I can justify the price I paid to any auditor as a fair and reasonable price For the 2022. For anyone looking to pickup a walk away at over MSRP take the price increase of the 2023 over the 2022 and double it for a 2024 look at the current interest rate estimate what you think it will be 2024/2025 at delivery and come up with a SWAG. once you have your SWAG make a low ball offer and go from there Using your SWAG as your Max price. the base model for a 2023 went up $2200. Double that and your at $4400 For a 2024. Now the packages have changed with more ala carte pricing. So I believe waiting is a bad strategy if you can get a 2022 for $4000 over MSRP. I think your total out of pocket cost will be less than a 2024. if you do your homework before visiting the dealer. Good luck negotiating. Go in with a min and a max price and a willingness to walk away. Once you make a offer you can’t go down. Know Your preferred configuration and have trade offs. Always be professional and prepared to walk away. You can always go back later. No shame to take a break and stay in charge, write down your moves and have the price contain all fees and service charges no extras. Bottom line. Negotiation 101 don’t be attached or get emotional.

The dealer where my truck is order has an ecoboost awd on the lot for 10k over msrp. My question with all of these over msrp sales is 1 the loan. How does a bank finance the amount over msrp and 2 insurance, how does that cover the amount over msrp.
Hello, I paid over MSRP, and this is how it went for me.
1- I have a really good credit score. I told the dealer that I would only pay 20% over MSRP if I got financing with 10% down. The dealer had to submit my loan request to several lenders but they finally got me approved at 8.5%. A month later, I put more money down and refinanced with my credit union at 3.9%. I applied to Navy Federal on line and they told me how much they would loan me, and it was over MSRP, but not as much as I had to pay.
2- You may have to buy "gap insurance", a separate policy that is usually used by people who owe more than their trade in is worth. I have insurance with USAA, which covers the actual FMV of your vehicle.

I thought gap insurance was for the loan terms. For example if you take a 6 year loan and the bank feels the value of the car will become lower than loan value at some point during the loan Before pay off.

You might as well have asked for a purple unicorn or an active gold mine no-one wants. Been waiting on an XL Hybrid since Oct 1, 2021 and still don't have a VIN. If you get your name on the list of multiple dealers across multiple states then you may have at least a chance of getting an XLT or Lariat Eco that someone decided they did not want. But for an XL Hybrid, nearly a zero chance. For anyone that ordered an XL Hybrid in September of this year, their chance of it ever getting built is somewhere in the 20% range (since less than half the Mavericks being built are going to be Hybrids and only 15% of those will be XLs). While I expect that many dealers will be selling Ecos for MSRP in the Spring/Summer timeframe, XL Hybrids will likely still be commanding a $5k+ ADM.

I just searched the inventory within 100 miles of st Charles, mo and there are 47 2022 models. The inventory dose not say how many are sold.
I checked my dealer inventory and both of our orders (23 hybrids, our VINs) are showing as in stock, but if you look at the stickers they do show "Special Order." In fact, all but one (there were 11 hybrids listed as "in stock") of the in-stock Mavericks show "Special Order." Those showing up in your search are likely "in transit" special orders.

Ours are expected before mid-January, so not even in stock yet. YMMV

Lot of dealers in my area have 22s in stock at 5k over. Must be lots of people walking away from the order. Dont blame them really with trade values tanked and high interest rates.
Well you can bet there's not a Hybrid to be had at any dealer lot, can you say Ecoboost 😏

Continues to amaze me that some people are compelled to criticize what other people pay for their cars. It's nunya - live and let live. Merry Christmas 🤶
I paid 3k over MSRP because I needed a reliable winter driver while I wait for my lariat to be built, if that ever happens. My EB XLT is perfect for my needs and not an impulse buy, not really 😂
