This sounds like a good solution unless the price is outrageous. What is the name of the company, I might ask them if they have plans for one. Just looking at that felt cover under there makes me cringe.

I dont have a BS and my Maverick is not here yet. I check out the BS forms because they have some cool stuff that I hope makes it to the maverick someday.

I think this what i will do most likely - cut hole about 5" so i can put my hand to screw it in oil filter. to unscrew it i can use a wrench with long extension. no physical disability - perhaps some mental :) I just dont want to get dirty. i change oil on annual basis in fall for all equipment, bobcat, excavator, lawn etc. it is easy access for big equipment. it is different for ford where i have to unscrew 15 screws to access oil filter. Just not well designed routine maintenance access port for oil filter. i do change oil every 4-5 k. it is dirty job.
No i don't want to give my car to random kid to change an oil - i had bad experience. I lost skidplate on highway from cayene by letting porsch dealer to change my oil because some "kid" overtighten skid plate. it cost me $400 for new skidplate plus $140 dealers oil change. I am type of person that will avoid doctors and dealers if possible DIY.
get you some good nitrite gloves.

Any particular ones of these recommended for the Mav?
I do not have a Mav yet, but as an aircraft Mech, this is certainly one option I will be doing to my Mav. I have always change my own oil since I was 16 LOL.

With a cordless drill driver or impact driver each bolt comes out in 2 seconds. 2 seconds x 15 fasteners........

DZUS fasteners are great, but be aware you need to mount them to the truck and to the panel. Drilling larger holes to mount each half of the fastener plus the holes for the rivets holding them in place or use spring clips. Not sure the juice is worth the squeeze here...

People are really overthinking this "issue" with the cover. Unless you're under the truck every other day, unscrewing the cover and putting it back on are not a big deal whatsoever

Did you call them? Will they make a Maverick skid plate?

I wish Ford would locate the oil filter up top, like Subaru does. It's so easy to change right there under the hood, next to the filler. And when the engine's off, the oil drains out of it. No filter mess.

The filter for my Explorer ST is on top; It's a replaceable element not screw on type.

I emailed them and they weren't very interested it seems. Maybe if more people inquire it would help. See below:

We haven’t had any opportunity to investigate the maverick. At this time we have no plans in the works, but maybe someday in the future.
