I tried getting a quote from the provider I was using for the same coverage I had on my previous vehicle and it was insanely high (~200/mo). Every other provider was almost as high or even higher. Checked Progressive and it was only $115/mo so that's what I went with. It would have only been like ~$90ish if I used their safe driving tracking app but no thanks.

Shop around because none of it makes any sense as to why the prices are the way they are. Be prepared for constant phone calls coming in after requesting online quotes (even if you select "contact by email only"). I used a burner number on my google voice account (it's free with a Gmail account) so I didn't have to deal with it. It gets 10 calls a day now lol.

As a side note - I have State Farm and the Maverick is equipped and able to send info automatically to State Farm for their "safe driver discount " without using the stick on "beacon" . Yes - you are being tracked ......... :)

Is your Maverick currently in production?
If not, it's going to be pointless to get an insurance quote right now because you have absolutely no idea when it will go into production, and when it will be delivered to you. Insurance rates change all the time.

What I can suggest is waiting until you get an ETA for delivery, then start checking rates. What I can tell you is that I have a hybrid Lariat w/CP and Lux. Insurance was less than I was paying on the XLT w/lux I traded in because the Lariat has more safety features than the hybrid XLT.

$50/mo at State Farm. I have an umbrella, so it brings the liability premiums way down. Plus that whole working from home thing. Mine is a tad higher because I can throw a rock at the interstate at my house. Kinda screws up the analytics when it is a parking lot every weekend during the summer.

Great idea. I am going to check to see if a liability umbrella policy is an option.

Progressive quoted me between 200-300 for 6 months depending on deductible chosen for comprehensive coverage. Chicago area.
