Full size spare tire, Matching?

Looks like all Mavericks come with two different spare tires:

1. a space saver spare tire, donut, or temporary tire, size T155/70D17
2. If you purchase a hybrid or pay extra for a so called "Full Size Spare" surprise, the size is 215/60R17 . This is not the same as the OEM tire/rim on any Maverick.

Please note, the spare does not have a Ford OEM TPMS factory sensor.

This information is shown on the Placard located on the driver side door jam.

My only question is will a 235/65/17 tire fit on the spare rim, and if so, will it fit under the truck???

Yes. My 245/65R17 Wildpeak AT3W with more aggressive sidewalls than the 235 fit. Not much room left over.

Question is if it fits in front of the serrated sheet metal. That piece is designed to puncture the tire and stop the wheel from being pushed into the fuel tank in a rear impact. Nobody has verified if it fits by removing that part off with it in place.

Nothing was changed from stock. It fits. Not sure what else you want me to say.

It is an off brand tire on a steelie. Unfortunately, found that it works fine. Big nail just over 100 mile mark.

My plan is to put the cheapest 225/65/17 I can find on the spare. It would suck to blow a tire when towing and have to deal with an off sized spare.
