I’ve never owned or driven a hybrid vehicle before. So I’m looking for input from current owners.

Why did you opt for the hybrid over the ecoboost powertrain?

What benefits other than fuel savings does a hybrid offer?

I'm frugal. I like the concept of the regenerative power. It's proven and technically appealing. It's cheaper.

Obviously, the cost of gas is a prime motivator. Most of the driving for me is going to be city or urban driving. There is the chance I may need the vehicle for a long trip of two also. This should be the best of both worlds

I've had two C-Max hybrids, including the current 2017 loaded Titanium. I love the power and lack of shifting in Ford's eCVT, as well as the constant over 40 mpg economy. They are like a civilized Prius with a lot of bells and whistles...like the Hybrid Lariat Lux I ordered to replace it.

But the most important factor to me is the ability to flat-tow the hybrid version behind a motorhome (like the C-Max). The Maverick Hybrid is the perfect all-around vehicle for my purposes...a 4-door hybrid with a pickup bed that weighs about 3800 lbs. There is absolutely nothing on the market that checks all these boxes.

I wanted fuel economy and lower emissions and did not need to waste money on something extra I did not need. It is my third Ford hybrid

If I need something big moved, I have my dad drive over his F150.

Would not use a gas only to drive to work every day. Used to park a truck 95% and just keep it for special occasions. This one does both. One less vehicle to register, insure, and maintain.

- Savings from Gas mileage (i drive 99% city)
- Future proofing. I plan on keeping it till it does so as prices, taxes and fees go up i can keep up.
- Price. $3000 off a AWD truck is a pretty good deal
- Ability to go far. I'd love a EV but sometimes I do drive 100+ miles.
- All in one. I need something efficient and safe to haul my kiddo to school and go to work AND haul stuff. Owning two vehicles to do so is untenable.
- Environmental / Eco concerns. Not my biggest motivator but reducing our country's dependence on Gas & emissions is a positive in my book.

I have a 1 ton diesel pickup. I have drove it less than 2k miles in the last 12 months. It is fantastic when you need to haul or pull something heavy. All other times it is a white elephant. 95% of trips to town I can put the parts I get in a plastic bag in the console. I have an 02 Ford Tarus that I will drive 15k a year doing just that. I want something that will fit in a parking spot, easy to get in, and inexpensive to operate. Hybrid works for me.

Past experience. I don't like paying all that money for gas. This is my third hybrid. I had a Lincoln MKZ and a Honda Accord before this one. When I saw that a hybrid tuck was available, I jumped on it. I found out real quick that many other people have discovered what I did with my 2 previous vehicles. Also, I might be cheap on the gas but my vehicles are the top of the line models with most of the options. If I out live this one, I'll get another unless something better comes along.

I've spent 5 years now driving a CMAX for work, and it's just been a flawless experience. Plenty of power, one of those where you look down and realize you're doing 80, and are like HOW?! Zero maintenance issues, and it's a company car driven by anybody/everybody, no one babying it. Witnessing the solid 43/44mpg across both city and highway is a huge selling point, and I like that long term there's less parts to wear out, especially important since this is the last vehicle I ever intend to buy. All that AND in a small enough truck that as I age I can get in/out easily, get to things in the bed easily. No brainier.

Just wanted a small truck with great MPG. When I had an s-10 I always thought this in front wheel drive would make a killing. Glad Ford saw the potential. Ecoboost is a nice driving thing but it’s a push on MPG with my Fusion.
