I chose the EB from the get-go. Don't want/need a hybrid. Not here to save the planet and I don't give a shit what a gallon of gas costs.

I've had an EB on order for over 14 mo. And still no build date! Mybe I should switch to Hybrid!!!!UPDATE - YOU CAN NOW SWITCH FROM HYBRID to ECOBOOST ORDER - per today's memo:

You are welcome!As they say:
MORE FOR THE REST OF US!
I'm half convinced that if you take out all people like this who has 4+ orders to try to get one Maverick, that the order numbers would look a lot more close to being able to fulfill everyone's order. It seems to me that a lot of people don't know what they really want.
A lot of people on forums and FB groups claim that the reason they want a maverick in the first place is not the hybrid engine, but the small overall size and cheap price of the maverick ( in comparison to a bigger more expensive truck )
I am convinced that there are a lot of people who ordered mavericks that don't need a truck at all.
If most of the orders were from people that really needed a small truck, where a smaller SUV or even car wouldn't also suit their needs.... Then surely there would be a fair number of those people who would take a EcoBoost engine over the hybrid to insure they get what they NEED.... a small truck.
Sure the hybrid gets better MPG, but the EcoBoost gets decent MPG too.
I don't plan to switch to a EcoBoost to help my chances at getting a 2023 Maverick. But that is because I ordered 4 mavericks.... Ordered a Lariat and a XLT at one dealer, then ordered duplicates from another dealer. I want both trucks, but really only need one. So I, even with the constraints and percentages being thrown around, have a pretty good chance of getting one of the four trucks I ordered built. So no need to switch my order. But.... If I ordered only one truck, I would strongly consider switching my order, because I really need a small truck and the EcoBoost would do everything I need the truck to do, some things even better ( like towing ), and the only drawback would be 25-35 mpg vs 35-45 mpg.
Probably a good move.I've had an EB on order for over 14 mo. And still no build date! Mybe I should switch to Hybrid!!!!![]()
