I was told by the Maverick team last night that the order date is not being used in determining Scheduling this year because all the orders came in such a short amount of time.
Are these directives documented policies or changeable depending on how the winds blows?

It isn't reasonable, it's a bait and switch.

Hybrid is standard. Ford knows how many they can produce. They allowed that vast majority of orders to be Hybrid.

The EB, at the same price, is far more profitable to build. So now Ford says "Oh we actually can't build the vehicle you ordered from us, but here, take this (arguably inferior) model that makes us more profit, and you, the consumer pay the same price.

It's absolutely a bait and switch.

Am I going to sue Ford? No. It will, however, be my first and last dealings with Ford.
Excellent point though I think they could have just rejected additional hybrid orders over the threshold they established and still filled the order banks so this does seem rather pointless, having people put in orders that they know they can't fulfill.

It may just be a limitation of the system. They may have dates and not timestamps. And given all orders came in during a five day window (with Tremor not even opening until the third day) and the system was being goofy most of the time, it might just make sense to just disregard the date of order.

You're at Priority 2 but have no VIN or production week? You have called Ford CSR and asked for status, right? I ask only because I've never received a production date and VIN from Ford via email like I did the first time. I strictly obtained that info by calling 800-392-3673 and requesting all info (including Private Offer Program #, Private Offer Certificate #'s, Delivery ETA, etc.). After establishing so many expectations via email in the past, only to rescind those updates later on, I'm wondering if Ford decided to quit sending out emails until status is 100% solid? Or perhaps others have been receiving emailed notifications that I have not?
I have called Ford customer service, chatted on Ford chat, called my dealer...all have said the exact same thing. My dealer had to update my contact information because he said it was blank when my cancelled 2022 was transitioned to a 2023. But I did receive the confirmation email for my new order. I know I am not alone, there are a few others that still have cancelled 2022's that have yet to be scheduled or assigned a VIN.

Just to corroborate this, my dealer said the same thing. There is no line of orders, just a pool that Ford picks from.
That's what Ford is saying, I don't know if I believe it. I think because they have too many hybrid and XL orders they want to give people the opportunity to make the switch without penalty but the system doesn't let you make that change without resetting your order date. So maybe this is their best solution. I don't know.

I think last year, because orders came through in a 6 month time period that they tried to schedule and give allocations out based on the order date. But this year all Scheduling is done within the earned allocations. So they think it's based more on the dealer prioritization and less by the order date.

See the above post I just made, I think that answers your question as good as I can gather.

I just got off the phone with my dealer and they said they haven’t received any news from Ford, about the special price for the sibl and cargo management system. Who do you believe 🤷🏻
My dealer said he “I checked with Ford inventory, they have not heard this offer, and I have no update till after holiday season, I will let you know when I hear From Ford” pretty sure he hates me every time I email him it’s another damn holiday haha.

If people think Ford dealers are kind of scummy with the hybrid Maverick, try finding a hybrid Corolla. I'd even consider a Prius - while it has a virtue signaling image and has been very ugly the last few years, the new 2023 model is not quite as hideous.
Also if people think the Prius is going to be more available they're going to be in for a rude awakening. I've seen mention Toyota is only anticipating to build some 35k for the US market. In other words about as many as Ford builds Hybrid Mavericks.

Why would they build more? That's more than they sold in 2021

Agreed.. toyota has been having a tough time building rav4 hybrids and that is a stale model.

True, but that's because the Corolla Hybrid was basically a substitute. Now this new Prius differentiates itself by having a much less polarizing design and pretty substantial upgrade in power, both on the ICE side and going from 7 to 40hp on the AWD's rear drive motor.

From what I understand after watching Tim's @fordvideoguy video in the scenario you describe yes you would be behind because the date would be changed to the date you make the change. But in and of itself moving to an EB would push you ahead overall.
The Ford memo specifically says that making a change to an unscheduled order will not change the original order date.

My brother called every dealer within a 10 hour drive of us in '21 and put his name on the list for a '22 Prius. Piles of people were ahead of him and only one 8 hours away ever called with one available. They had a $5k markup on it plus a bunch of dealer add on stuff that we don't need here totaling almost $10k above MSRP. He passed on it. Trying again for a '23 I guess but I don't anticipate it getting any better.
