At least many of you got an email. I have a hybrid own order and I did not even get an email. Guess I know where I rank. The real gut punch is to think that Ford after all their promises in the delays is not going to compensate MY2023 orders to adjust for 2024 price increases if they cannot meet your order requirements.

I would have much less angst if I thought Ford would compensate current people that have ordered for price increases and even better if those that have to wait could be rewarded by converting to a MY2024 plug in hybrid or all-wheel drive hybrid if one comes available in 2024 for order.

There has been no price protection promised. But, there may still be some compensation to be had even though not promised. We may not know until it happens. Let's hope...

The Maverick is an inexpensive hybrid option. If it isn’t realistic to get one, I may as well buy a lower end Tacoma.

I stopped by a Ford dealership a couple weeks ago that showed Mavs on their site. Nope not in stock, and the salesman bragged he sold one for “only” 4k over MSRP to the customer who ordered it. I said that’s unethical. He said there’s no contract and the price is a manufacturer SUGGESTED retail price. I replied it’s the MANUFACTURER suggested retail price and they are not the manufacturer. Just then someone stormed out of the building and took off…obviously angry. Two sales people came out. Doesn’t look good. I placed my order at another dealership but I can’t say they might not try increase the price.
I got the same email. I stopped by the First dealership I ordered my Maverick through last September and they had a used Lariat hybrid "not to many miles in it" on the showroom floor, and want $40,000 for it. I told the sales guy that was nuts. He said mine would be whatever the MSRP is on it when it arrives. I ordered a stock 2023 XLT Hybrid . Are we going to get the price they were when we ordered ? I think it's dishonest to sell them $10,000 over MSRP.

Add me to that email I just received yesterday 6/30/23.

Well here's to 2024!

If rumors are true about Toyota launching some 20-35k small truck I'll throw myself on that list too and see which one arrives first!
