With the amount of requests I've seen just this afternoon, I see the SIBL going from under capacity to a constraint again in no time.
This will be interesting to see, if it does go constraint again after they packaged it with the rails at a discount, that will reflect VERY poorly on Ford. Even a Dufus like me knows it will be more popular than the ,,,,,HITCH

I am beginning to think that Ford just does not want to build the hybrid Maverick. I think the profit margin is just no there for them. I don't totally buy all this constraint item bull crap. I read on Ford Authority news that they are adding a third shift to meet the demand for the F150 lightning. Seams to me they would not be doing that if they did not have parts. The only reason people are drawn to the Maverick is it being sold with a hybrid. If you remove the hybrid option they would have no issues with building the vehicle. I for one will not switch my order to EB because I don't want it.
Exactly

I quit following this thread after 5 pages so this may have been covered but, will a hybrid to eco change push the previous (now eco) order to a priority code that’s toward the end of a dealers list? Meaning if person X was an eco order at priority 10 and person Y was a hybrid order at priority 10 but wanted to change to an eco, would the dealer put them to priority 11 effectively putting them toward the back of the line?
The order date remains the same. The priority code is set by the dealer, and should remain the same. Some have a system that they follow (eg by order date, earlier orders get better priority).

But, your dealer could be doing any number of things. All orders at "10". More profitable orders at "10". Brother in laws "10". There is little transparency on what the dealer does, and no accountability whatsoever.

I started at a PC of 10 on 9/16. Two weeks ago I found I had been moved to "14".

Ford however has the freedom to pick a 10, or a 19, from the dealers list, based upon their constraints and what they want to schedule. So at the end of the day, build what you want in the vehicle. If you are fairly sure you are at the tail end of getting a hybrid built in '23, it might be worth going EG. There are some good discussions on the this thread if you go through it.

Nice that Ford is offering this SIBL and cargo system as a pkg. I took it off based on all of the constraints and got scheduled quickly but now going to be paying a fortune to have both of these installed aftermarket.
Turns out when I registered my Hybrid after delivery, I was not charged the $100. The Maverick Hybrid was not on the list as of late June, 2022. Maybe cars only?

I'm just wondering, I ordered an XL hybrid with a few options including 360, sliding window and tow package. I got an email from Ford motor confirming my order . Does this mean anything as far as allocations dealer has or not related at all?
Thanks
That email only acknowledges the order is in the system. It does not imply there is a dealer allocation for that order, nor that it will be scheduled.

excellent so all of us who ordered a build without constraints who thought we were ahead of the debauchery are now back in it. Lol

That's about it. What is sad to see are new order '23's getting built and soon delivered, with many of us with '22 orders not scheduled. Ford said they were going to give priority to rollovers....then cancelled '22 VINs were to be priority...but at the end of the day, the allocation system seems to have more weight.

If they lowered it by $2k I would switch, but I don't see that happening.
They would likely have more takers if they offered free AWD with a hybrid to EB switch. Not nearly as remarkable a difference between the two FWD versions in terms of vehicle capability; but that AWD opens the door to other options up (4k, Lariat w/ CP360+, etc.)

@FMC, are you reading?

Hey Ford - If you make the Tremor available with 4K, I'll add it now. Never understand why you cant have both.
Because of the enhanced twin clutch rear differential unit provided in the Tremor package. It is not capable of the additional load in the 4k tow application.

My subjective opinion, after owning an FX4 EcoBoost Maverick and now a Hybrid Maverick for 8 months is there should only be a hybrid or electric variants of the Maverick. The EcoBoost, FX4, Tremor etc. is silly for this type of vehicle.
I do truly understand why people want AWD or light towing in a small truck, but for the greater vision of @Ford Motor Company it seems like a missed opportunity.

If that’s your want or need- get a Ranger or an F150. We have the latter to accompany the Maverick. That said, the hybrid Maverick is easily one of my favorite vehicles ever owned. It’s nearly perfect in every category for what it is. I enjoy it more than I ever did our Tesla’s or other vehicles in the past.
Why would I get a Ranger or F150?

I built a ranger almost like what I have ordered with my Maverick I ordered and it was $11k more then the Maverick

Would you care to give me the $11k to get a Ranger instead?

Yeah free AWD would make it a quick change for me. @Ford Motor Company

So what are the chances that my XL EcoBoost will get built? (see my sig for my build details)

I guess I need to call long McArthur tomorrow and ask where I stand

Think it is the smaller radiator necessitated by the Tremor front-end which has a significantly greater approach angle for all those off-road jaunts that Tremor owners will be doing. Smaller radiator means less cooling for the increased towing load.

This is all pointing to order banks being opened up again.... and of course encouraging folks to take better equipped trucks. I view it as a positive. if hybrid folks defect instead of switching to EB, then there will be a surplus of EB slots to fill for MY2023...
[/QUOTE]
I doubt they will open them up again. They just said they can't build all of the orders they have
