Changing Oil Filter and Oil without Removing Skidplate

Hj, is there any option to Changing Oil Filter and Oil without Removing Skidplate? There is an option to drain oil with a valve such as this one (see image below ) I was woundering if it is possible to change an oil filter on Mav. hybrid without removing Skidplate so I don't have go under a truck? Please advise. Thank you.

This response is equal to take UBER - don't drive a car of course I can do this. the question is" does anyone have solution for changing an oil filter without removing skid plate ?

Oil filter relocation kit for the filter. High pressure hydraulic hose with fitting on one end to fit the oil pan, fitting on other end to accept a pipe plug for the oil. Route the hose to an accessable location, remove plug from hose end when you want to drain the oil.

I understand not wanting to take it to a shop for an oil change, can take forever and usually some kid doing it thats not paying attention to the job. Anyway, I will prob just cut some access holes in the underneath engine cover for the filter/plug and use some ramps. Not to pry but do you have a disability that prevents you from getting under the truck or just dont want to get dirty?

I think this what i will do most likely - cut hole about 5" so i can put my hand to screw it in oil filter. to unscrew it i can use a wrench with long extension. no physical disability - perhaps some mental I just dont want to get dirty. i change oil on annual basis in fall for all equipment, bobcat, excavator, lawn etc. it is easy access for big equipment. it is different for ford where i have to unscrew 15 screws to access oil filter. Just not well designed routine maintenance access port for oil filter. i do change oil every 4-5 k. it is dirty job.
No i don't want to give my car to random kid to change an oil - i had bad experience. I lost skidplate on highway from cayene by letting porsch dealer to change my oil because some "kid" overtighten skid plate. it cost me $400 for new skidplate plus $140 dealers oil change. I am type of person that will avoid doctors and dealers if possible DIY.

I have a disability that prevents me from getting under my truck. It's called being too big. Is that ok with you or would you like to pass on some tips while you chastise me for not changing my own oil like the vast majority of people that own cars?

Changing the oil yourself is to me not worth my time and effort. Then you have the problem of what to do with the old oil. Much easier to just have it done.

While I don't have mine yet, I do plan on cutting an access door or two in the bottom panel for doing oil changes.

What I've done in the past was to use three or four metal tabs that I install on the part I cut off that allow me to run screws into it to keep it in place between changes.

Yes, I still have to remove a cover, but not all 15 screws worth.

Now that I don't live in snow country anymore I may simply opt to cut the holes out and not turn them into access panels. All depends on how annoying it is to get to the plug and filter I suppose.

Someone posted in another thread that he was going to attempt to cut a hole in the plate and install a hinge to give him a door to open to do future oil changes with out removing the entire plate.

I'm not sure if I'll do my own oil and filter changes. It depends on what time of the year it is. I have an oil extractor to remove the bulk of the oil and then I can drive it with e-juice up onto my ramps. I'll see about cutting access openings in the cover under the engine for the drain plug, which retains a very small amount of oil after the extractor, and the oil filter.

I believe ford is putting holes in the cover anyway for the engine fire recall.

It was my understanding that the Maverick under plate was designed for a better drag coefficient = slightly better gas mileage? My question would be: If you're not doing it yourself, is a Maverick oil change more expensive than say, an old Ford Ranger, because of the extra time and effort it takes to remove and then replace the under plate during an oil change?
