First time working with a clay bar and this type of finish. Watched a lot of Youtube videos and was a bit intimidated, but it wasn’t bad. I code the Turtle Wax product because of good reviews and ease of use/beginner friendly-ness. I think it looks great!

Looks great! If these are edited, can you share the unedited versions too?

I mentioned in another thread. I called turtle wax direct and after paint prep they recommend the ceramic/ graphene paste wax as a base coat.
they said if you put that over other coats they won’t all bond properly
Can you clarify, please. I've been using their ceramic spray with satisfactory results and thought I'd give the graphene a try. Are you saying TW people recommended using a ceramic paste as a base before using the graphene? I didn't realize there was a ceramic paste, only the spray.

Last year I used a graphene to the max wax as a base. 2 months later they released a ceramic/ graphene paste wax they claimed was better.
I called them for clarification and was not fond of the answer.
They said to strip the graphene max then use the paste wax as a base. Otherwise future graphene coats would not bond correctly. The paste is quite good and goes on/off in half hour or less.
from that lesson learned I use the paste, followed by the graphene to the max (it protects from car wash scratches) as maintenance I use the ceramic detail spray and it can be used as a waterless wash

Any recommendations on the clay bar and procedure. I've not used one before.

youtube is your friend here
I had never done this before, but looked up some videos on youtube. I watched several, but I do remember "Chemical Guys" videos were some I watched for sure. They seem knowledgeable and respected.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try the system on my old, like '93 Nissan first. Still a long time to wait (if ever) for my Maverick hybrid
