Just replaced both front door speakers with powerbass OE652-FD from amazon. $108 with delivery and it arrived next day. Full plug and play, only thing I havent seen is you have to remove the foam ring from the face of the speaker in order for it to fit. No rattle or anything, i can turn volume up all the way now with no distortion, the old speakers distorted and crackled a lot at volume 20.

Overall install was easy, had issues removing the door panel but if you start snapping it out from the front it comes out easily, no broken clip! Highly recommend.

Im in vegas if anyone wants help. I wish i had some but now i know how to lol

Which audio system does your truck have? The standard system or the B&O system in the Lariat?

thanks,

ran sound for bands for 20 years, if you want volume turn your EQ settings down especially the bass, set the volume then tailor the equalizer to the volume

Might take you up on that. I’m in Vegas too. I have the speakers on my list.
Volume 20? You need your hearing checked buddy
20 is min volume for me. After 40 years of working on and flying jets, yea, I think my hearing is a bit degraded. Playing drums for the last 4 years hasn’t helped much either. Lol.

LOL I play my B&O system at 20 regularly, and 25-30 at least once a day.

It's still nowhere near as loud as live music.

Wow... I must be getting old. I don't think I've had my XLT's stereo volume up past 17. Maybe that's why I think the OEM speakers seem to be OK... (or at least much better than the ones that are in my Subaru Forester base model).

Always fun to be stopped at a light and you can't hear your music because someone in line has theirs cranked up so loud plus your doors are vibrating from their subwoofer.
