Eibach did for me. Thinks springs and alignment kit
I love how your truck looks.
Very nice.
I'd like to lower mine, keeping my XLT wheels.

What does lowering it like this do to the ability to tow and put 1400-1500 lbs in the bed?

Do you ever visit the SF Bay area? I'd love to see it in person! But heck, I come to Long Beach about once a year, if you are willing. I'll have fog lights on mine soon you can check that out!

👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks. No I don’t really go up to the Bay Area at all but ya if You’re over in LB hit me up. As far as Towing and hauling I couldn’t answer that as I haven’t tried yet.

Does the manufacturer state anything about this "lowers" (ha ha) your payload capacity? I understand you probably don't have 1500 lbs laying around to test with, but I would think the designers would know.

Thanks!

Manufacturers like Eibach definitely consider towing capacity. They're engineers. They're not going to sell a spring that reduces the vehicle's capability unless clearly stated. Yes, you'll lose ride height and distance to the bump stops, not capability.

Well, I reordered the springs, definitely worth cancelling and reordering as it saved me 65.25 total. Now, I just need a Maverick for them to go on.

Ok with a few folks ordering these spring sets, who's going to be the first person to post step by step instructions with pictures?!
I'm ready to order, but I'm just not sure if there's going to be a need for any specialized tools to do the install. Reading the instructions on the Eibach websites it sounds like it would be easy enough to do, but I certainly would like to see some pictures of the process!

most "specialized tool" you'll need is a spring compressor.

front is pretty straight forward, just be careful taking off the metal clips on the cowl plastic. If you drop one in the engine bay, or forget one and try and pull up, it will disappear into the abyss forever.

The rear on the FWD is super easy since its a torsion beam (side note, no control arm in the back for alignment on FWD, that's for AWD only).

Rear on the AWD just a bit more difficult to get the lower control and and knuckle ball joint lined up, but not too bad.

It has been asked several times and I do not see an answer, what is the offset and width of the wheels? I was looking at some of their wheels (8.5" width) but was thinking I'd need to probably do the +42 or +45 option to be somewhat within range of the factor poke.

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like I'll need to see about getting a spring compressor. First I'll crawl underneath and have a good look at how the springs are currently installed and get a mental picture of what I need to do, especially about the metal clips on the cowl plastic!

What do you think about running a rear section of a .75” lift kit in the rear combined with the lowering springs on the fwd version, so I can have about .75” rake for towing?

Why not run some universal airbags inside the rear coils?

I had airbags in my last truck and it hated them with a passion. Lol the idea of the function was great but having to back with them all the time was terrible.
