Got my "in case I get a Tremor" fog lights yesterday. They went on sale and I couldn't resist.
Heck if the Tremor doesn't show I'll add them to my zero turn in the spring.

I like these. Would you mind posting the height measured from the mounting bracket (not including the bolt) to the top? Oh, inches, please.

It's not really a choice if you're buying lights with the intent of using them as actual fog lights.

Using the cheap, flood light style lights in conditions that actually warrant fog lights will be equivalent to turning on your brights - it's going to make your visibility worse as all that scattered light is going to reflect off the snow/rain/fog and bounce right back into your eyeballs. Not to mention the people that drive around on the road with their flood light "fog lights" , light bars and LED bulbs in reflector headlights end up blinding the shit out of oncoming traffic due to the complete absence of a beam pattern

So when it comes to fog lights, this particular choice is not a good thing
What kind of lighting specifications would you recommend to someone who does need good quality fog lights? I live in the mountains, from Dec-Mar it's cloud city up here so I need something that can give good visibility without scattering the light as you've said.

Diode Dynamics, Baja Designs & Rigid all make SAE fogs

There's plenty of comparisons out there, Diode Dynamics seems to perform the best and has great price to performance in my opinion.

But those are three reputable brands to start with

While the led headlights do a fine job of lighting up the road, I'm considering auxiliary lights to brighten up the road more directly in front. Sure, fogs, but more so for spotting road hazards close up. Anyway, I'm thinking of fitting them into lower section of the front grille. Limited space unless you cut one one of the support struts and I'm not too keen on that. Need a light that is under 5 inches wide and about 2" tall to fit. I've searched Amazon, but perhaps someone here has some experience and suggestions.

Though just over 5 inches wide, I installed these on my Superduty's brushguard. They are incredible! Been thinking about how I can install them cleanly on a Maverick.

I think I found what you are looking for. 4.4" wide, 1.4" tall. Maxxima lights with 5 year warranty, and DOT approved for DRL use. 500 lumens each which is almost what a headlight puts out. I'm a Maxxima dealer, so I can get them if you can't find them. https://www.maxxima.com/products/pr...D-Daytime-Running-Light-DRL.html#.Y27Dh3bMKUk

The percentage is a guesstimate based on the known size of the lights vs estimated size of the intercooler.

The lights have a combined surface area of 22.75 sq in and if the intercooler is 6"x30" then that's 180 sq in. (I don't have a truck to measure it)

22.75 / 180 = 12.6%

So if my visual estimate on the intercooler is close, then I stand by my point of Ford shouldn't be putting an engine package that will have problems if ~13% of it's intercooler has restricted airflow into a consumer vehicle. That's way too slim of a margin between "ok" and "prone to failure."
If Ford could use a 10% smaller intercooler they would

Thank you! The size is perfect. I'm wondering if 500 lumens is enough to light up the road directly in front of the truck. The Lariat has good DRLs, so I'm not needing more of that application. Have you any experience using these?

A low beam halogen headlight is about 700 lumens. High beam is 1200. DRL/Driving light are usually less than a head light. If you feel you need more you could add another pair. At least they will fit.
