Ford will only be able to build about (half, I guess) of hybrid orders requested for 2023 and receive them in 23.
On other hand the capacity to build EB's are twice the amount requested (at least that is what is said on a post started).

I wonder if Ford would reach out and Give opportunity for those requested Hybrids to chose an EB instead and have it built and delivered in 23?

Additionally. Does Ford know which customers ordering hybrids in 23 will get their orders fulfilled in 2023 or do they just randomly pick who gets order fulfilled.
Note: I would like the option to cancel my order for 23 if I knew they weren't going to build my request ordered on 9/16/23

Ford has no incentive to do that right now. They would rather have extra Ecos that go to dealers (the actual customer of Ford) so that the dealer has something on their lot. Dealers have been complaining that they have zero Maverick stock. As long as Ford does not have to provide incentives to the dealers to sell Eco Mavericks, both the dealers and Ford view this as win-win. We as end consomers (who ordered hybrid Mavericks) don't even come into the equation.

That sucks,,,thanks for understanding
Does Ford know which of the orders they received in 23 will be built for the 2023 year?
If so can customers be granted that information?

I'm going to guess allocation and constrained options will dictate who gets their hybrid Maverick for 2023.

I don't see a reason why Ford wouldn't give an option to switch to the EB at some stage... But nobody knows and they have not extended the offer as of yet.

We know they can only build about 50% of the hybrids. Doesn't do Ford any good to have phantom hybrid orders out there that will only serve to annoy customers who don't receive their order.
I for one would not take the offer but I am sure some people would.

Curious what your source is for this. You state it as fact so I assume you have something from Ford with that info. All I have seen is random rumors with no basis on Facebook and some early comments here that Ford planned a 65 / 35 split. But no actual proof from Ford of even that, not that I've seen.

If true it is going to be a disappointing year for some, but even if Ford planned a 65 / 35 split doesn't mean they cannot adapt to reality. Let's hope so anyway.

Do a search for posts from FordVideoGuy. Tim Bartz has verified the numbers from Ford.

Why doesnt Ford just put a $2-3k premium upcharge on the hybrid, they will still sell all they make and maybe even out the demand with the eco.

Honestly I think it's typical "business strategy". Get them emotionally hooked and then upsell upsell upsell. They keep the price low because they know it will garner interest and get people in their showrooms or at the very least calling about the product. Think about all of the hybrid orders that WON'T get built due to the constraints but DO get converted to an Ecoboost. They probably never had a chance of selling that customer an Ecoboost Maverick but now they are emotionally attached to the idea of a Maverick and some will justify the switch to an Ecoboost and now Ford has a higher profit margin sale that they wouldn't have had if they had only accepted the amount of hybrid orders they could actually build. Pure speculation but it wouldn't surprise me. I believe the Maverick has excellent conquest statistics, ie selling to people who owned other brands and different segment vehicles like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla and I think the super low price and standard hybrid powertrain is a big part of that.

Some reasonable,,but there is a cost...loosing upset customers,,,expecially if other manufacturers produce alternative to the maverick...just don't know if the gain for Ford outweight the risk...

I like this forum it sharpens the mind to think critical...all of which we need to do in this country.
