Does anyone know Ford process for picking order to build?

I have a 2023 maverick lariat, tremor package and lariat luxury package ordered. My order is the only Tremor package placed at my local dealership.

Would it not make sense to manufacture the Tremors first for two reasons: 1. Only around 3 to 8% of Mavericks will be Tremors( from what I seen) 2. Wouldn’t having Tremors on the road be good advertising

I'm not sure anyone at Ford actually understands the process........... Somebody programmed a computer to do it years ago then retired. No one still there actually knows what the computer is doing. :):)

It involves a lot of variables:
- Does dealer have an allocation?
- Does dealer priority code allow your order to be chosen?
- Does region have an allocation?
- Does that region have available transportation in the time frame?
- Is there an open slot on the factory line?
- Are the basic parts (engine / drive train) available?
- Are all add on parts (trim / packages) available?

And probably a dozen other things that go into the algorythm.

Would it make sense to have the Tremor out for advertising? Yes, if they had not already sold their entire production for the year. So, no it doesn't make any sense to prioritize Tremors.

Tremor is a new package, so it is quite possible those will be much later in production as parts for other trims are already in the pipeline as little has changed from 2022.

My guess is Tremor's will be late spring / summer. But what do I do know?

I will give you some advice after already going through this for a 22 model. Don’t try and wonder why or how, you will never understand or get answers. Just wait and when ur turn comes it comes. I wasted many hours on all of it and guess what, didn’t make my truck get here any faster.
But I am more and more convinced region and state plays a big part. Like CA, FL and TX will get more allocations then anyone else.

Makes sense. The weather in those states would tend to not stress the vehicles. Higher population counts means more eyeballs.

I noticed that it seems all first edition Mavericks, including mine, were built in September and delivered in October. Maybe Ford will do the same for the tremor edition.

I work with computers and know there is generally logic in how things are done.

But I've got nothing..

My FE has not been delivered yet. Supposedly it is in the build process as of last week and might be delivered by 2025 or the First of next year whichever comes first according to Ford

That really sucks. On the bright side it will probably be the newest FE out there. 😆

Yup, and closest to factory. Which means quicker sales!
