Looks like I got the DORA I hear about. I did ask to have the FX4 package added and he said that shouldn't be a problem. I should be getting an updated one with the FX4 package. I suppose it looks like everything is progressing how it should.

I've never seen a DORA like that before. I guess a dealer can print them out any way they want. That one seems to have dealer invoice pricing on it too, which my DORA doesn't have.

As it indicates, "Prices are subject to change without notice."

If you don't have a Buyer's Order signed by both you and the dealer that specifies your final price you might want to see about getting one. Some folks with just a DORA have ended up having the price raised on them at the time of delivery.

I Googled Ford DORA and found other examples like it. I'll see about a Buyer's Order. I'm not too worried about this dealer raising the price. They don't have that reputation and were on a list from other people who purchased from them without raising the price. I also don't understand why they would go through giving me Z plan pricing only to raise it above MSRP.

I don't pretend to know anything about your dealer. Some are good, some are bad.

But for those dealers who say they will sell at a certain price and then upcharge, the "why" is simple. They promise the good price to get a verifiable order and thus get a Maverick onto their lot. They then add the $3k or $4k "ADM" because it is pure profit.

I know why they do it. It doesn't seem to be as big of a problem here. I'm in the Detroit area and everyone around here who buys a Ford either has A, Z, or X plan. Dealers wouldn't last long around here if they didn't honor employee pricing and upcharged. My biggest concern was the order being delayed or the dealer dragging their feet. I kind of want to make a 3rd change to the build but I probably bothered the dealer enough.

How long does it typically take from placing an order for an Ecoboost to getting a scheduled production date? I contacted Ford Marketing and they confirmed my order was accepted and just waiting to get scheduled. They said some people didn't receive emails and I appear to be one of those. Just wondering how long I should wait before I check back to see if I have a VIN? Once I have the VIN, I can just track it on the website.

I think it just depends on to many factors to give a good estimate. For example I placed my order on June 23rd for the truck in my sig. On October 21st I got the "Scheduled for Production" email containing my VIN with a build date of December 13th.

Others on the forum ordered way after me and have received sooner build dates or even have their truck but others still that ordered around the same time as me or sooner and haven't heard anything.

So who really knows.🤷‍♂️

Is the scheduled for production email when you receive a VIN? I just want to receive the VIN so I can start tracking it online. I anticipate I'll be scheduled for January at the earliest.

Yep, that's when I got it anyway. The only two times I heard from Ford was the first email on June 23rd containing my order confirmation then again on October 21st. The second email had my VIN in it and my build date.
