I normally would chalk this up to a joke... but given what I have seen from Ford during the past 14 months... I suspect this is 100% accurate.I got my MY23 VIN the day I ordered. Jim Farley personally called me about it. He said he saw all my posts on this forum and was highly impressed. He said mine will be the first one built and will fly down to the Hermosillo plant and personally oversee the build, then test drive it himself and personally delivery it to me. The plant will not build anymore until after I drive it for 1,000 miles and am totally satisfied. If not, they will build me another one. After I am satisfied, they will begin production of everyone else's Mavericks, starting in alphabetical order of vehicle color options and by driver age and height. So, if you're old, small and ordered a Shadow Black, you're last in line.
I could set you up with a meeting with Jim if you like. He'll be at my house next week with my Mav.I normally would chalk this up to a joke... but given what I have seen from Ford during the past 14 months... I suspect this is 100% accurate.
First rule of MTC. Never call Ford CS. You will get as many different answers as calls made.I actually called Ford Customer Service today to try and get a couple answers about this. The person I talked to said that 23 production is going to start towards the end of the month (I'm assuming they meant November). They also mentioned that scheduling happens on Thursday's, and said to keep an eye for an email from Ford on those days
I ordered my 2022 Hybrid XLT in October 2021. I just received a VIN last month : )Has anybody who ordered a MY23 gotten a build date or a VIN yet? Especially hybrid XLT
Listening to a Long McArthur video, Tim said that the priority code will not be set by the dealers. Ford will do that. I remember that the priority codes will be 2 or 3, signifying they will be at the front of the MY23 line, as they should be. All other MY23 builds will come after.I could absolutely be misremembering what I read, but I thought that since the remaining MY22s didn't rollover automatically that they all went in as "normal" MY23 orders with dealers instructed to mark them priority 10?
My XLT hybrid that I ordered in mid-October of last year was moved over to be a 2023 model year. But still no VIN assignment or build date scheduled.Has anybody who ordered a MY23 gotten a build date or a VIN yet? Especially hybrid XLT
I got a code 19 on my 2023 tremor. I had a dealer stock order (an 80) xlt I put a deposit on in jan 2022 that never got built. I didn't get the rollover offer either, because it was dealer stock, not my order. That’s weird, I got priority code 19 on my 23
I shouldn't reply, because I know so many have waited so long. I know that hybrids are much more difficult to come by, so my journey was different. After 9 months I picked up my Maverick XLT eco on Monday night. It was the first time my dealer actually called me. I never even received one email from Ford. Ford CS was the only way I could keep track of my order. They told me when my build week was. They told me when my build week was moved up 3 weeks sooner and I had a vin. They told me what my train car number was so that I could track the train. And finally, they told when my Mav was on the ramp to be picked up and trucked to my dealer. They did seem to give me worthless information occasionally, but overall they were a big help to me. I agree that anything under 12 months is a bonus and am thankful to have my Mav. I did order a 23 hybrid XL and have no illusions about if and when I will receive one. Hope you get your Mav soon!First rule of MTC. Never call Ford CS. This Thread, and its content of recurring themes from the entirety of the 2021/2022 Year 1 Order Cycle, has reminded me again of the need to create a “Maverick and MTC for Dummies” listing, mostly to help the new ‘23’s navigate the next 12-14 months.
If ‘Never call Ford CS’ is Rule #1, Helpful Hint #1 should be “Plan for a 12 month cycle, regardless of what your Salesman says, anything less than 12 is a bonus” (completely disregarding the current cockamamie myth of “143 day average for delivery of 2023’s”)
Rule #2 : Select ‘ignore’ as an option for those Members posting in ALL CAPS, are confused by the purpose and use of paragraphs and/or are mystified by grammar and punctuation. (You won’t miss anything and be less stressed as a result).
[13+ months, and counting, but it’s rumored to be in a rail yard on the South side, awaiting transport north]
A bit ironic that this is a response to, and actually quoted: "Select ‘ignore’ as an option for those Members confused by the purpose and use of paragraphs".I shouldn't reply, because I know so many have waited so long. **Pending constraints**they will be at the front of the MY23 line, as they should be. All other MY23 builds will come after.
