Have you bought accessories or add-ons before your truck arrived?

What happens if your order doesn't arrive for one reason or another? I have a list of things I want to add but am waiting until I have the truck in my possession before I order them. There has to be a few people out there to have had all these things waiting and then the order got cancelled or the deal didn't go through. What did you do when this happened?
This could get expensive.

I think most of us who have 'pre-bought' stuff never anticipated that what has happened with delivery times would happen. With current supply chain issues, I decided to buy winter wheels/tires ahead to be sure I'd have them when I needed them. And bought a tonneau cover when there was a sale. If my Mav never shows up, I'm sitting on about $2500 worth of useless items. I'm sure there's someone out there who would buy the stuff eventually.

When I ordered my Bronco, the B&P tool didn't state the First Edition came with rock rails. That got updated after I ordered them from the accessories site. When my Bronco arrived, I ended up with a set of OEM rock rails that were extras. When I posted them for sale, I got more than I paid for them (I ordered them when there was a discount on the accessories site, so selling for MSRP was a win for me).

And already have most of my accessories for the Tremor if and when it arrives. Worst case, I can sell them if it gets delayed or cancelled, but I hope that won't happen.

Nope. I will start ordering stuff as soon as it's sitting in my driveway. Too many shenanigans going on for my comfort.

Should I get scheduled….I might get some cheap things like usb charging setups for the bed chubbies, but nothing expensive until I buy it.

I did! When I got a VIN number I started buying. Probably shouldn't have but luckily my truck has been built and shipped. I guess when you've been waiting for a year to get it the excitement took over.

Same here, and when it went in production, ordered even more accessories

I ordered some accessories from Ford once I went from a build week to a build day. But that day came and went and I am now one of the December Hybrid XLT Lux C-360. Nothing has come in yet so I still have some time to see what is happening.

I bought splash guards, a tonneau cover, floor mats, door speakers and lug nuts. I used my credit card rewards cashback to pay for most of it, so it was not out-of-pocket cash for the most part. So I took a bit of a risk using the rewards before getting the vehicle.

Ah NO. But, I put about $750 in my Amazon shopping cart. Wonder how many will have a price increase before the truck.

Yep. I bought the Bronco Sport Badlands wheels and had them sitting in their boxes for 10 months until i received my Maverick.

I have all the accessories ready to be installed: soft roll-up tonneau cover, rubber bed mat, LED bulbs for all lights not LED, tailgate soft close assist, wireless carplay, all-weather floor mats, extra tie down loops, windshield sun shield since my truck will be sitting in hot SC sun all day when parked in the driveway, and going to apply ceramic coating when I bring it home. I plan on having the two front door windows tinted same darkness as the rear door windows, but will have this done by a pro. I also bought solid chrome lugnuts to replace the 'capped' lugnuts that come with the truck. These factory lugnuts 'expand' over time and need to be replaced eventually.
Truck is built and awaiting delivery to dealership (sitting two hours south of me).

So many "sunk costs" already. Some of it Maverick specific, some more just "an excuse to buy more truck stuff".

Bed Rails, bed rack (that works with the rails), tailgate letters, LED bulbs (brake light and backup lights), Tonneau cover (that again works with the rails and rack), new rims/wheels and tires.......all sort of little electronics like a new cigarette lighter USB plug, AA Wireless Adapter for wireless Android Auto functions, DIY 12v power related parts to install near the tailgate, additional tie-down rings for the bed (I have a base XL, so not as many tie downs come stock). All sort of detailing stuff. Ceramic coat, good soap, good microfiber cloths, good glass coating (essentially the same as the ceramic going on the paint). Already got a couple replacement Motorcraft oil filters. Got a new breaker bar and socket set for my emergency kit that I will keep behind the back seat. The list goes on..... all-weather floor mats.....up to I think 4 sets of aftermarket lug nuts (only one actually fits my rims so far. Will try to return or re-sell the other 3).

About the only thing I have in my Amazon cart but have not purchased yet is some rubber mats for the bed. Mostly because my Maverick will have the drop in bed-liner and I don't know if I want to add rubber mats on top of that. About the only reason to do it would be to keep things from sliding around.
