Made an interesting discovery yesterday. I had to take a bunch of remodeling debris to our local dump. Turned out it weighed exactly 400lbs. The interesting part is, my truck was 4640 on the scale full, 4240 empty. I had close to a full tank of gas, so maybe 90lbs, so the truck without me in it is about 4000. The specs say my truck is 3,751 lbs, so the extra stuff on my truck, including the BFGs, DIBL, tonneau, hood scoop, etc, only weighs an extra 249lbs. I would have guessed more. Those 249lbs plus the BFG KO2 tires results in about a 10% mpg penalty. Not that I’m complaining.
