Anyone waiting on the 2023 Corolla Hybrid Instead?

At least they admit it lol not like Ford who's running around not knowing what to do with orders. Maybe I'm salty because I have 09/21 order, but then again look at bronco orders they been bad trying to fill those also the lighting.

Well I suppose it's easy to not be accountable to custom orders when you don't take them like Toyota.

I'm looking at them pretty hard, but I'm not going to make a decision until the summer. I need a new vehicle by end of 23, want a truck and a hybrid, but if I can't have both in my low budget price range, Corolla Hybrid it is, most likely. But I'll also be looking hard for others to enter the hybrid small truck market by then. I'm just not ready to give up yet on a hybrid small truck.

Yeah but even with custom orders you have remove things to get your vehicle into production. If it's a barebones order then that works out perfectly. Ford will show you all these options that look enticing then they'll hit you with with are only producing a certain amount. The real custom order company is Tesla

Curious if any unlucky Maverick orderers/owners are going to get a 2023 Corolla Hybrid instead? They are officially live on Toyota's website but the build feature still doesn't work. Looks like they will have a lithium battery with a lower center of gravity this year, no more NiMH as Toyota has put in their hybrids for the last 20+ years. Nicer headlights and a 8 inch high resolution infotainment screen with WIRELESS apple carplay and android auto.

I think it's a pretty good deal at $22,800. They are even cheaper than prior year Hybrid models and toyota's destination + delivery charge is only $1000 compared to ford's $1500 and much better warranty/reliability.

Of course, this only goes for people who just care about MPG only and a vehicle under $25k and don't need a truck. Has anyone put a deposit on one yet?

I'm interested in the Corolla as well - I'm seriously considering also ordering a hybrid Corolla. My wife owned a 2000 Corolla from new until 2018, and it was a great car. I was always impressed by the attention to detail they did in the engineering of making it easy to service, and the general layout of things.

Assuming I get delivery of the Corolla first, I plan on holding onto the Maverick order as well and see if it actually ever gets offered to me. At that point I can decide the best course of action.

Since my Ford dealer did a great job helping me with my order, and played no games, if I don't take delivery, I have no problem with them selling the Maverick to someone else for $5k over list.

A lot of people are replacing Honda Civics with Hybrid Mavericks according to reports I've seen. It's more about MPGs for many people.

Was your 9/21 order scheduled and rolled to December 22 then to a ‘23??

If the Mav was not a hybrid I would not be interested in it. If it had no bed I would not be interested in it.

Toyota doesn't take custom orders but they manufacture so many cars that it's actually pretty easy for the dealer to allocate the exact trim you want. Ex: If somebody wants a red corolla with beige interior (very uncommon color combo), there is a good chance that they can have one shipped to their dealership that is scheduled to be built soon.

Myself and many others bought a maverick because it was the highest MPG new vehicle in America for $19,999. It being a truck was just a bonus. I ended up selling mine because of all the issues it had though.
