Great value for the packaging. Under-powered, but the buying segment will not mind.
If the Maverick did not exist, this would meet my work, DIY, and errand needs.

For me, this vehicle is not a competitor to the Maverick in any way unless it includes an open truck bed and a hybrid drivetrain. The Chevy Trax offers neither.

The trax isn't competition at all for the escape it was for the Ecosport now discontinued. The trax is small like an ecosport. I know I have an ecosport. The Mav built on the escape platform is way bigger than a trax.

Not bad except for the mpg. It would need to be higher for it to be an option for me. But price is lower than the Maverick. I could live without a trailer hitch and 4' bed but not with that mpg.
