Some states probably are not over 10% hybrid orders.
I'll try to word this differently as I didn't think my last version was political. But I digress...

I live in a state that I would have assumed hybrids would be 10% but I was told a 10% area of the state was actually ordering 80% hybrid. So, I don't think you can assume that just because you live in a 10% state that 10% of orders are hybrid.

i don’t know, they have produced 96k mavericks so far(pre production ones too) and during a year where the Hybrid was less $ then ecoboost. I bet it was 60/40 hybrid to eco at least. CA, FL prob were higher hybrid numbers than that.
Vin # for 2022 exceeded 110,000 (last 6 B11XXX), but ford said 40% of 2022's were built as hybrids.

It's ridiculous that Ford put so much marketing dollars into the Maverick as a super efficient hybrid but then can't build them. As far as the mud flaps are concerned Ford should delete them and ship the truck if that is the only thing missing. Were living in a strange world these days when plastic mudflaps are in short supply. I spent three years working in an injection molded plastic factory while going to school. We could crank these out by the thousands every day.

You kind of have to wonder what's really going on. Is the Maverick tail wagging the entire Ford dog?

In the short time I have known about Ford Authority, I have been less than impressed with their accuracy.
Yes, I think it might depend on who wrote the story. Some seem to be ahead of things, others not so much. One of the articles used my post on here as the source so not much fact-checking going on.

That's a little circular.

60% of the time, it works every time!

My anecdotal information comes from the salesperson I dealt with for my 23 order (XLT/EB) and who my extended family has dealt with many, many times. All he was willing to share with me was that "most" of their orders were for hybrids. And this is in an exurb of Minneapolis where the "politics" are likely more in line with Alabama than they are, well, MN. I would have assumed they'd have ordered far more EB/AWD given the demographics and MN winters, but that's what he told me.

So basically these big companies took their horrible practice of enslaving people to another country when they couldn't get away with it here in the US. But in the end, they are losing money with this employment practice.
All dreamed up by a Harvard MBA who was consulting on cutting bottom line. Next they'll be growing by downsizing. They all attended the "Retreat to Move Forward" in Aspen some summers ago.

Did you get a comment censored for being political?
It would appear. Given our exchange on another thread yesterday, the one that got deleted actually surprised me. I wouldn't have even classified it as such especially given the comments on this thread that have remained.

Whatever. I have a full-time job and am not losing sleep over it.

they should have just limited orders for hybrids at the cap of 35 percent of anticipated orders - maybe 28K. It would have been an easy piece of code - when hybrid orders were at 35K don't allow any additionals to be input. I don't know what the logic is behind letting substantially more than that go through. If somewhere down the line next year they find they have additional resources for hybs then they can open up the bank for a short while until the new max is exceeded.
And bank opens up at 7am EST? While the dealers in the west coast are ZZzZzZzzZzZz, the East Coast dealers filled up the quota. California = gets nothing! Yeah! Moving on.

Ford Authority says that the receiver hitch is also a constraint.
Current 2023 Ford Maverick Supply Constraints
EDIT: The article on Ford Authority is screwed up as it has conflicting information about the hitch receiver being a constraint for only for XLT Luxury Package, Lariat Luxury Package, FX4 Off-Road Package, and Tremor Off-Road Packages.

And that the constrained hitch receiver is not available to order as a standalone item, but is a part of one of the above packages.

The 4-pin hitch receiver can be ordered as a stand alone option on all vehicles and is standard on XLT Luxury Package, Lariat Luxury Package and Tremor Off-Road Packages. With the 4K Tow Package the hitch has a 7-pin connector.

So as others have pointed out it appears that Ford Authority is wrong and the standard hitch receiver is constrained because I can't believe that only the Mavericks ordered with the 4K Tow Package and the 7-pin connector would be constrained.

Ford Authority sure could use someone to check out their stories before publishing completely wrong information.

To be clear it is the "trailer hitch receiver" that is constrained not the actual trailer hitch.

CURRENT 2023 FORD MAVERICK SUPPLY CONSTRAINTS REVEALED

Currently, the 2023 Ford Maverick supply constraints consist of front and rear splash guards, the hard-folding trifold bed cover, load box bedliner, pickup box extender, soft-folding tonneau cover, load box edge protector with lights, protective film for the hood and fenders,

and the trailer hitch receiver. That latter item is not available to order as a standalone item, but is a part of the XLT Luxury Package, Lariat Luxury Package, FX4 Off-Road Package, and Tremor Off-Road Package.
The trailer hitch receiver is not available stand alone?
I added it to my xl.
