More looks at the Black Appearance Package

It looks nice but I am not a black appearance kind of guy. Too old to give black vehicles the extra time cleaning they need to look spiffy all the time. I do like the black seats but I also love my Lariat seats and the brown/blue actually looks good and I get lots of favorable comments. A $1600 option isn't terribly expensive so if you like all that black stuff go for it.

I'm constantly going to jobsites and can get quite dirty from in my work and personal life. Having a black interior is a must for me as it doesn't show dirt/stains at all. I didn't want the XL and was very nervous with the liight colored denim seats n the XLT. No way am I putting on seat covers.

My plan was always to install Katzkins next summer with my 2021 order but I was still torn on having lighter color leather to match the interior. Now with the BAP option, I can install all black leather and it will match the interior.

FWIW, my 2017 F150 has an all black interior with black leather seats. I vacuum it weekely and just wipe off the leather immediately when I get out when I am wet and/or muddy.

The light gray pillars and headliner and the blue under seats are bleh to me. I can handle the blue center console for some reason...but I just hate it under the seats.

I agree with those that don't like the navy blue with black interior. I have a silver Maverick Lariat ordered and I believe the black wheels and trim will look amazing. I also think the black seats will look much better with silver than the desert brown seats. I just can't see brown seats in a silver vehicle. For the money, it seems Ford could have an all-black interior and ditch the blue and grey. I guess I will stick with the BAP because overall I think it will look much better with my silver Maverick than the standard trim, even with a bit of blue and grey.

The silver with BAP is going to look amazing. Honestly most of the colors really set off with the BAP from the pictures.

Why do you think "no one wants 18's". Is there a legitimate reason for that comment, and facts that back it up?

My RAV4 has 18" wheels, and I want them on my Maverick.

I ordered the BAP with the 18” wheels. The rims and tires alone are worth $1600.

Don't understand paying extra to make any vehicle less visible to other traffic.

Because the BAP won't really change the visibility of my Cyber Orange truck! LOL

The black appearance package doesn't mean the truck's paint is black.

I know. I'd rather have the interior be black, then accented with 2 tone seats and different trim. The blue plastic really limits what looks good. I've had blue themed interiors before (Ford Contour SVT, Honda Element) and they looked good. My current car is a 22 Bolt EUV with the black interior and blue leather, and it looks great. But black is still the primary color.

I know the black looks better but you are literally paying $1600 for a different color version of the items you have already paid for. Its the biggest non-value rip off package especially since the XL can be had with black seats. The 18 inch wheels dont count as nobody wants 18s. Ford knows their interiors are hideous buy they can now extract more money from you to pay to change it. Nothing in this package costa more than the parts ita replacing.

You are absolutely right! But I also wld like to stand out from all the other mavericks growing in my city.

I’m taking it off my build. Don’t want black and navy interior

I was trying to take the BAP off my build for weeks but my dealership was having issues with their system. It still isn't off but I think I've decided to keep it now. The interior looks good to me, it's the black wheels I don't like. I just feel like they look like they're dirty all the time. I will say that the dark blue and black interior is way better than the orange! It should complement my Atlas blue color as well.
