How many of us are having disagreements with the significant other over options after ordering. Mine was adamant about Lariat + Lux because she absolutely had to have heated seats and Active X. I after following scheduling threads wanted to change some things. IE change hybrid to Ecoboost AWD so we could tow more. So to keep in budget I was going to loose Lux. She wasn't having any of that so guess who compromised. No 4K, no AWD or FX4 just FWD so we might get it before January.

My wife has her Rav4, so she does not even really get a say (other than budget approval for a new vehicle) in the options for my truck ;)

Actually she is just happy I'm getting a truck. Before the Maverick came along I was planning on replacing my aging civic with a Camry or Accord. I need Fuel efficiency for my 80 mile a day commute, before the Maverick, no other truck could do that in my budget.

No FWD 2.0 with the towing package is what I heard. You can still get the FWD 2.0 though.

My wife wanted Area 51, but I'm sticking to Oxford (work truck) white, it just looks right!

What is this "budget" word you speak of?

My wife is cool with whatever I want. I started out wanting the Hybrid XLT Lux. However, since then I have considered the 2.0, FX4 4K. This is NOT to try to get the truck earlier, but rather to get the extra towing capacity and MAYBE more longevity for the vehicle. I LOVE the idea of the hybrid, and the need for towing would be for 3-5 years down the road, so I don’t HAVE to get towing now. I am having trouble figuring out if I should change…

The wife is happy I’m getting a truck. I know she doesn’t like leather interior cars “burns her legs when she has shorts and skirts on” plus entire interior gets untouchable hot in the summer heat here in my state, so no Lariat with vinyl seats for me, and that’s OK because what’s she doesn’t know is. This Maverick pickup is going to end up being hers and I’m going for the Ford Lighting when it really starts to materialize. So I ended up with the XLT with Lux and 360 in Area 51 she’s going to love it.

I told my wife I was thinking of ordering a Maverick and she said get what you want as long as it will be good for the family.

We set budgets together and that’s about it. My wife picks out the options on her car. I just assist in the negotiations at the dealer to get her what she wants. I pick out what I want on my vehicles. she researches vehicles as much as I do so I really don’t have any concerns with what she picks out for herself.

She said it's your truck get whatever you think is best. Which is annoying because I'm trying to decide between hybrid or Ecoboost

My wife just laughs at me for being obsessed over a truck. She is the one one who said I need a truck since she is tired of smelling the trash and moving tools to use the back hatch.

Been married 45 years, there is no mine or hers it's ours.
And yet you stated: " She wasn't having any of that so guess who compromised. "

Just messing with you, I do understand.
