I just received a call from my dealer indicating they just received their allocation for Mavericks and they are only getting 1. So, they are calling all customers, who ordered with them, and refunding their deposits. What is most disappointing is that my order was placed, and I received confirmation email from Ford, on 9/15 and I was told I was the 2nd order placed by the dealer. so, assumed I was at, or near, the front of the line behind MY22 carryovers.

Anybody else getting calls like this today?
Thats terrible you wont be able to get your maverick but im glad they called you. I would rather get a call from my dealer saying im not getting one than wait and wait to ultimately never get one. Im very very sorry youre not getting your maverick Hopefully you can get it elsewhere.

I heard today that my dealership took in 188 orders and was allocated 44. Given some numbers elsewhere in this thread I'm not terribly upset. I know for a fact that my Tremor order was the first my rep put in, but not sure about where I was amongst the dealership as a whole.

Either way, I have a reliable vehicle so I'll just ride it out and see what happens.

I don't know just what is going on, I've heard the feeling of a local dealership GM that production is going to dip again within a couple months, and maybe there is/isn't any reason to believe that, but the fact that Ford halted production so quickly says something. Perhaps they know something, or perhaps demand is that great and they don't want to get stuck in the same situation as they are now, extending MY production of MY 2022. Though they have already said, you don't get your '23 there will be no priority or price protection for a MY '24.
Regardless, how many of you are going to order another Ford if there's a less than 50/50 chance you get the vehicle you ordered? ....especially since they've just cut rollover order entries too!

I don't doubt your number, but If chapman horsham allocation is at 11, and yours 44, how big is your dealer relative to chapman horsham?
Edited dealer name.

Honestly, I haven't a clue. I ordered through Ted Russell Ford in Knoxville, TN.

That's still a pretty low percentage < 25%

Considering Ford wasn't even to begin scheduling Mavericks until next week, we might want to take these numbers with a grain of salt. Unless Ford is basically telling these dealers, "we told you to limit Hybrid to 35% and yet that makes up 80% of your order. So you will only get 25% of your allotment and will send it to the dealers that have more ecoboost orders."

If one recieved a conformation from Ford, they should call Ford direct. This is the type of stunt I believe dealers do to siphon cars off for themselves. Verify this story thru the Ford customer support department. Just my opine!

I'm very sceptical of these reported allocation numbers. I find it much more likely that the dealers are confused or Ford's communications are incorrect.
I highly doubt either of these are true.

Ford is Ford.

Maverick is low profit.

All resources are directed to high profit, after CAFE requirements are achieved.

Ford is Ford.

They aren't the same Ford they were previously.

PROFIT.

Sioux Falls dealer said deposits needed to be from unique people so dealers couldn't stack up an inventory to sell later. I got a confirmation e-mail from Ford with my name on it but no order# on it. Still nervous the order will stick.

Its okay. No one’s confirmation email from Ford has an order number. That would only come from your dealer.

Around April of this year I cant remember I ordered a MY22 maverick and paid the deposit. I was a 100% sure I wouldn't get one till the 23 models was built and was fine with that. Even though my full of crap sales person said it would be a couple months and I was second in line. I never got an email or nothing from Ford. I assumed I would get one when the order banks opened and let things happen when they happen. However, I have been busy at work the last couple months or more and not on the truck club to keep up with what's going. My mistake big time. So, I get a call from my sales person on 9/20 at 1:57 pm!! and he says that my order has been pushed to a MY23 (DUH!!!) and I need to get there by 7pm to sign for it since the order banks close that day. So I did. Then I check my email about an hour later and Ford sent me one.

Does this mean Ford doesn't know I made an order till 9/20?

So before I go back down there and have a high speed come apart filled with lots of screaming and vulgarity more than likely. Did I go to the back of the line?

People need to relax and chill with the speculation. The truth is we don’t know shit right now. No sense in getting so worked up over things we don’t know and can’t control.
