Ordering that late, I doubt you will see it before spring. I ORDERED 7-20-21, and I do not expect it before then because of the number of orders(>100,000). If a person cancels an order , the dealer will just keep it in the system and sell it for market price when it arrives.
while you are likely not wrong i sure hope its not spring. i ordered on the 16th of july and that would majorly suck if i had to wait until april/may of next year. knock on wood that doesnt happen.

If speculation was a woman some of the people on this forum would be overwhelmed and wouldn't be able to afford their new Maverick! Just saying 🤣🤣🤣

I wonder if a dealer can legitimately keep a person's order if they have canceled it. The dealer would have to refund the deposit, if one was made. I would hope that if the dealer did keep the order on the books that other people who are waiting get their orders bumped up above this canceled order.
There was no deposit required but I put down $500 to the dealer. He said when it comes in, if I don't want it, they will give me a full deposit refund... Of course, they want to mark it up and sell it off the lot! So my truck counts against their allotment but they know they can sell it off the lot. So most would keep the order in the system. The dealer can prioritize his allotment orders.

The one I am waiting for people to figure out is:
If there is an allotment to each dealer, a dealer can only place so many orders a month. They can sell all they want but until allotment is over, they can only place so many orders into production. So, if dealers are offering discounts, they are likely stacking orders that cannot be entered into production until October, November, December, etc. because they are over their monthly allotments. So you can get discounts now but they will probably cause long lead times on those orders. If 50 people buy from a single dealer (discounted or not) it may take months before the last 25 people get their trucks ordered into production.

There aren't over 100k orders that was reservations ford announced many of those won't translate to orders since you could do multiple reservations and never order one.

wow zero?! zero spray in liners. like none on any orders what is going on with that? why would they offer it if they knew theyd not be able to offer it on almost any of the early reservation orders. Should have just said yea you can get this but itll be late availability like that rapid red color or the plastic liner. And my priority code changed they said so it would or may be pulled soon. Well thats not coming now. If i was previewing before im not now i bet. Unless that doesnt change. I get theres a chip shortage but whats the shortage of spray in liners?
Right? Lol There’s no microchip in a roll up tonneau cover. But news articles say the chip shortage in Japan and Malaysia is causing Ford and other automakers to delay production.

THIS WEEK. Heh, ain't that the truth. Timing is everything. I have a June 14 order, Lariat Lux with a Bed Mat. My order is still showing 02 priority, Unscheduled-Clean.

Get what you want, otherwise you are playing whack-a-mole.
This is exactly what my dealer told me today when I tried to remove the spray-in liner. They totally unloaded on me and said I was just being crazy. They said if Ford tells them that there is an issue with availability of the bed liner, rather than just a constraint, which can change at any moment, they will let me know and we can talk about removing it. They have plenty of their own trucks go next door to line-x for liners. I think they want me to get a build date ASAP so that I am out of their hair. To be fair, they have been great to deal with, so I have no complaints about them at all. I probably needed a little reality check.

"Normally" the public does not even know about any of these build plans let alone there is even a new truck coming. The announcement date would take place AFTER the Okay to Sell milestone has been achieved and stock units are rolling to the dealers (Think 2020 Escape).

There are no 'mistakes' taking place here. It takes months to launch a new vehicle and make sure everything is in the proper place. The vehicles will get here but it may not be making good on the expectations of the waiters.

As for the Bronco situation that was hit hard by COV-19 supply and work constraint issues. It was terrible but Ford is trying to relieve the stress which many on here think is some sort of joke.
The complaining about build dates is just the current subject, leading up to this we saw:

“Ford is there going to be a compact pickup? Tell us anything.”

“So there will be a compact truck what are the specs?”

“How about some photos, just show us something. “

“Can’t you show us photos without camo?”

“All you’re showing is a crew cab, I want a 2 door.”

“Ford, when are you going to reveal the Maverick?”

“Wow, here it is! I don’t understand how to reserve.”

“I reserved my Maverick, why won’t you tell me when I can have it?”

“Other people have build dates, why don’t I?”

“You can’t get all the parts... so what, I want my truck.”

Of course this won’t stop until everyone has their Maverick, but it is getting tedious.

So what is the conversion going to be? There will also be people that DO reserve and will not pick up when the car arrives. They are already making a list of people that want one but have not ordered/reserved a Maverick. Lets say they get a 60% conversion rate. If they can do 800(max capacity) cars a day (after the production line is tweaked). That is 75 days or 15 work weeks, that puts us at the end of the year. BUT, that plant is not dedicated to producing Mavericks, AND we have a supply issue.

I wonder if in the backrooms of Ford if they're regretting announcing the Maverick as early as they did. It seems like if they had waited 4-6 months maybe none of the supply issues would be causing the many headaches they are now are experiencing.

I've heard guesses of 30-45k orders we probably won't know how many there actually are. But yah even if it was best case line won't be up to full speed until probably late October builds. There will always be some constraint so some builds will likely end up in winter anyway. If for instance someone has spray in liner, a tonneau and maybe a late option like rapid red they definitely can't be pulled now, but a month from now tonneau and spray may be available but not the color still. Then when color becomes available the tonneau could be in shortage again delaying it further.

B.S. Ford has to take the finger out of their ass, or quit taking orders they have no capacity to fill!
My dealer said they‘ve stopped taking new hybrid orders.
