Rats. Several of my options are at 0% but my order is at priority 2. Dealers says I can't change to drop bed liner/cover at this point.

Ford could not have known the level of interest they would receive for not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 new vehicles in the mach e, lightning, bronco and maverick. I suppose you can blame ford for being a victim of their own designing/engineering success.

Now if they could only solve this pandemic and the problems borne out of it, we'll all be just peachy.

I guess the silver lining in all this is that my down payment keeps growing the longer I'm kept waiting. I consider myself lucky that I have the luxury to wait. Sorry to those who don't.
i feel exactly the same. i have a 2003 fx 4 f-150 lariat. it's caused me at least 1000 bucks repair work in the last 3 months. brightside? several....i have not made a car payment in many years. at least the sale value will be a bit higher if it actually runs! i've been saving a few grand for down payment for quite awhile. together with truck sale it will be 5 to 7 k towards lower monthly payment. i look at it as an acceptable delay to get exactly what i want. i'm 58, i'm used to being delayed for what i want. it's all good!

What? Every week the dealer network has been publishing late/constrained availability lists. The Maverick builder page even has each item thats constrained listed as such.

Ford does not know what availability is going to be month to month because there are massive shipment delays going on. 40+ container ships are queued up on the San Diego port, when normally there is only one or two. Not to mention the "ongoing" pandemic, or the massive wild fires, or the floods, or freezing snowy conditions in TX last winter. I get you want your truck, but a little self awareness goes a long way.
On the one hand we have people expressing disappointment about delays and on the other side we have people sticking up for Ford. Yes, we should give grace to companies as they struggle with availability of supplies. It has been crazy all across the board! But I think we should also be able to admit that there is room for improvement on Ford's part when it comes to the vehicle launch and ordering process. If it were not for message boards we'd all be in the dark. As much as I hate the phrase "perception is reality," it seems to fit here. While not their intention, it seems that many will be excited to finally get their Maverick, but will have a less than positive view of Ford. No, that's not at all their intention, but with the current system, that's the reality.

i wasnt told what my code number was however i asked to have the spray in liner dropped as that is the only constraint/commodity option but when the sales manager when into the order he said it was locked in as the code was changed to a different priority. which is very similar to what youre saying there. so basically we gotta wait until they have some available for our orders. and who knows when that is. could be a week, a month, 6 months. who knows.

If sprayed in bedliners are a constraint why not have dealers install like DIOs?
But if they are not available for factory builds how could they be available from the dealer? The distribution would come from Ford to the dealer there is no inventory therefore no surplus inventory.

So shall I, a First Ed customer, presume that within the 17% build of Lariat packages, I may find some hope for receiving my FE in a somewhat timely manner?

Maybe but I'd accept my Maverick sooner without the spray in and have it done when supply is available. Besides any scratches would be covered by the spray in liner since they scuff the paint anyway before applying.

I am still getting used to seeing this information - I thought previous constraints were regionally based - does anyone know, is the "NAT" a National designation, or a constraint for the Plant making the Mav's?

No, FE is still LATE AVAILIBILITY. We are very EARLY in production.

This list is of CONSTRAINTS, thus LATE AVAILIBITY options are not at all going to be on this list.

As I recall, spray-in bedliner is a time/manpower intensive process. It's quite possible that it's not the spray that is constraining, but either the manpower necessary to do it or the lot storage necessary to hold Mavericks while they're being sanded down/drying off or whatever. They probably want these Mavericks coming off the assembly line and straight onto the transport trucks.

EDIT: It occurs to me that factory spray-in bedliner may involve just not spraying the bed in the first place, which brings up the problem of complicating the build process by introducing more variables. It sounds like a small thing to just tell whatever paint machine to use a different painting pattern, but every option introduces a potential delay or mistake, and it seems Ford really needs to crank these things out as fast as possible.

It's a constraint because there is no current SUPPLY. I find it hard to believe that people find CONSTRAINTS hard to believe. You obviously didn't bother to read this entire thread, or you'd have easily found out exactly why the spray-in bedliner is constrained at this time. It's all spelled out in this thread for those who want to know WHY.
