Why do people order remote start?

Why do people use a smart (learning) thermostat or a thermostat on a schedule at their home?

So that their home (vehicle) is climate conditioned and ready for them.

When it's 0ºF outside and your car is parked outside, covered in snow and ice, being able to warm it up without having to go out and sit in it or brush/scrape all of the snow/ice away, that's huge.

Similar with when it's 100ºF outside and your air conditioning cools down your vehicle before you leave the house, office, store, etc.

Because its super hot in Louisiana in the summer, if you can have just a little air conditioning going before you get to your car it helps. I used the app most of the time but sometimes i just forget or I can't pull my phone out for some reason and the key fob is convenient

No it's super humid in Louisiana. Super hot is us that live in the desert southwest. You know like Las Vegas, Phoenix, Palm Springs areas.

I feel like maverick A/C cools me off in 30-45 seconds . It really good a/c

Honestly it just people are use to it to their key and your phone might be dead .. or you might not have internet connection

The two times I have had issues, it's been when I used the remote start from my phone. Who's knows if it's related but I find the fob way faster and just slightly easier to use. I do see myself using the app more when I want to get it warmed up in the winter from across the hospital I work at.
