How so? If it were $22,745 it's still cheaper than the cheapest Hyundai Santa Cruz available (which is not a hybrid). It's still cheaper than almost any other hybrid vehicle available anywhere. A Toyota Corolla Hybrid starts at $24,000, Hyundai Elantra Hybrid $24,400. The Maverick Hybrid is a truck - larger and more useful than both of these.

I'd still buy it again at $25-26k, no questions.

not to mention all the alternatives you cite will likely also being going up by a similar 7-8 percent increase ......

Lol, I think they are rewarding them for waiting an extra 2 months longer than Ecoboost customers or hybrid price might be going up to meet the Ecoboost price. It's hard to tell. Maybe @Ford Motor Company will provide information soon.

NGL, i'm conflicted about being scheduled to build at the end of this month. Who knows if Ford will stick to that build date! My nightmare fuel right now is that because I have a build week, I can't put in an order for a MY23. But if that build gets pushed back, I may be stuck on the wrong side of both timetables.

Anyone else worried about this? Not being able to place an order, but also not getting built this year?

I don't buy the extra for the hybrid unless it's going to get a big price increase, and the EB doesn't. As for the free money for 36 months, that totally sucks. May just pay cash; if my EB ever gets built

Curious how these offers will reflect the 2023 price increase, my planned Eco/AWD/4K/Lux build came in around $31,000 - add another $1,500-2,000 for the 2023 and you're getting close to certified pre-owned 2019+ Ridgeline Sport territory.

IMO that makes it a trickier decision, lots of trade-offs between both options. Maverick is more compact and has more personality, better economy, and a spooly-boi, but if you're patient and wait for 2020 Ridgelines to drop in price you can get adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, and the 10-speed gearbox standard... though you'll have to sit in a seat that someone else already farted up for a couple years.

We'll have to see how this affects our Chapman orders. Hopefully they don't tell us we either the percent below invoice on 23MY pricing or the private offer amount and not both. If they do that, then I will probably walk away and just take my 22MY that is coming.

I would almost bet on this, even though the two have nothing to do with each other. The deal sheet should read the price as 3% under invoice and then the $1750 or $2750 should be subtracted from that.

I will not at all be surprised if they say one or the other. And if they do, since I can’t get the offer with a Tremor anyway, I’m moving the order.

Agreed. I've never seen an undertaking so poorly handled. When I worked for large corporations this is the kinda thing gets people fired. Unless it's purposeful. Part of who Ford just is now.

Well you guys wanted to order a Maverick, so this is probably just to test your patience to see if you can handle the next 10-12 months of waiting, price increases, and ZERO updates from Ford.

"Hard to Tell" is certainly right Tim! I suspect Hybrid is going up in price more than the Eco and that will be all or at least some percentage of the offer difference for the new replacement orders...

I really like Farley but it continues to amaze me how close to the vest Ford communicates timing and communications to their dealers and customers....

I have not bought a new car since 1999. So I'm a bit out of touch. Could someone please explain what dealer prep is, whether it varies from dealer to dealer, and whether it is negotiable?

I have been told that the order banks for 2023's open on 10/19.

At least in the good ole days a field containing a high or very near high value (when negative values were not defined for the field and sometimes even if they vere defined) such value was used for an out of sequence procedure. Code would be changed from "if 01 do A or if 02 do B...." to "if 98 do Aa or if 99 do Ab or or if 01 do A or if 02 do B...". This would allow exception routines to be easily inserted in any place within a process order without risk of inadvertantly changing normal processing sequencing. Yes there are other ways to accomplish the change such as using an equate table or tables where processing was wanted to be done in different sequences depending on some other condition(s).

Hybrids were more constrained than EB models so they deserve more!

I have two orders one currently building and the second scheduled week of oct 10th (indigenous peoples day). So if my second doesn't make it perhaps I will get a super duper private offer for it.

Dealer prep is just a BS way of saying "Give me some extra money for nothing". No, not all dealers charge it and it will vary by dealer. Also, as far as anyone knows, the order banks are supposed to open this week.
