Looks nice but what did you use for the plastic? Some Cermics can do both paint and plastic while others require a separate coating for the plastic parts. Also did you rinse after the clay bar before the IPA?
I use the ceramic on everything but glass. Worked perfect on the plastic / rubber. I didn’t rinse, but did a good quick detailer wipe before the IPA. The clay was very minimal.

After one week of ownership
Process was:
Foam then rinse
2 bucket wash
Car Pro Iron X to decontaminate
Rinse Again
Dry
Lightly Clay, didn't need much
Very very diluted IPA wipe down
Car Pro CQUARTZ 3.0 ceramic coat (2ish coats)
Car Pro Reload top coat the next day

All in all, maybe $200 of products (with lots of leftovers) and 2 days of chill work. I'm happy. First wash was a revelation, water just beads right off. So easy to wash now.

After a week or two of looking at a used iconic silver FX4 on the lot and think I'd change my choices on colors, as it just didn't "pop" as I thought it would in the daylight, you made me start thinking about it as a choice again.

Tell me more about your tyres. Do you like the Nokians?

I only have about 200 miles on them. So far they are great. I wanted a mild AT for my hybrid. I will say that Nokian's website is incorrect with the weight the advertise. 225/65/17 is listed at 26.5lbs, they are actually 28.8lbs. I haven't noticed a MPG change at all, but the truck is so new I don't have much data. Very pleased thus far.

I'm happy with silver, I knew it was a color I would not get tired of. It also doesn't show swirl marks. It can be a little purple in certain light, I love that.

Looks great!!

Question to all pros: My Maverick has around 11k miles and still in nearly perfect condition ( I think I have only 1 or 2 small paint chips). Is it still worth it to have ceramic coating done professionally? Mine is in Alto Blue.

And what mud flaps did you use, those blend in very well.

It would be worth it if you value keeping your paint top notch. With that milage you might need some paint correction. That plus the coating might cost a good bit. I would get some quotes and make sure you use a well regarded detail shop.

The truck looks amazing! Great color (I have yet to see a Mav color I disliked). One question and apologies if already been addressed. How long does the ceramic coating last? I've been using a ceramic spray which I realize is not the same as a coating and I've been happy with the results. Seems to last about 2 months before my demonstration plastic bottle no longer slides off the hood. I know the coating is a much more involved process and expensive to have done . . . just wondering if it's worth it.

People say 2 years max. I mean is less than $100 and has a very good reputation. I'm hoping it's worth the money:)

The company that I had Ceramic Coat my Crosstrek last year told me it had a 2 year warranty but if I kept it clean and it was stored in my garage instead of outside the coating would last well over the warranty. Had it IGL coated
