Anyone else keep bouncing back and forth on what trim to get? I thought I had it figured out!

I can get power mirrors on the XL with 360, and I can add cruise for less than $100 using Forscan and factory parts.
Kind of sounds like you have already picked. That is the cheapest way to get into it. I went with Lariat Lux because I ‘need’ all the bells and whistles.

Yeah that is what I was thinking but then the OP is just gonna chime in and say how "I can't get over those orange accents on the XLT" but they have never seen one in person to judge for themselves how it looks with their own eyes.....

Having just now sat in a Maverick for the first time - I have to say you are right.

I've really knocked the XLT because of the orange trim. I still don't like the orange trim. BUT it isn't nearly as bad in person.

Not at all. I was just stating part of why I don't feel the XLT is worth the price over the XL.

Does your seat get hot in the summer?
LOL... I know there's all kinds of smart ass things I can say to that... But seriously, ventilated cooled seats are quite comfortable... around town day-to-day driving overheated butt syndrome has not been much an issue due to the type of trips thus far. We are about to do our first Maverick road trip this weekend we're heading from Tucson up to Albuquerque for a concert. (And yes we're going through Hatch for green chiles and have a green chili bacon cheeseburger at Sparky's and those who know understand why we do this..... And when we head back Monday we will be swinging back through Hatch and pick up a couple burlap bags to share of freshly roasted and peeled Hatch green chilies ...... And hopefully the Maverick will smell like freshly roasted green chilies forever and ever!) Anyway I rabbit trail... so over the years I've had /have vehicles that have ventilated cool seats and they're great! .... especially when living in the desert. Keeping one's ass cool and avoiding swamp ass on road trips or on 110°+ days is quite pleasurable and highly recommended!

in 10 months waiting you will forget about the extra $ and the real cost is much less. Apart the inflation if you sell a lariat in a few years you will get back half of that difference. Again this from an happy xlt owner.

I would order what you really want to have & the options that are important to you. I ordered based on options I was not willing to do without & what I could afford. For everyone complaining about the orange accents, you do realize that the orange tray under the hvac & the piece next to the mode buttons lifts right out, & the orange door handle parts can be replaced with ones from an XL when the parts become available. I personally don't mind the orange parts, & really like the XLT blue interior over the XL & Lariat, it reminds me of the Levi package AMC offered in the mid 70's.

from a driver in an hybrid xlt lux 360 manual rear window…get the same package on the lariat trim for the key less entry push button and stereo.
Honestly the keyless stuff is what really gets me.

Never had adaptive cruise or lane centering, so I don't know what I'm missing. My wife's van has keyless and I hate switching back to my truck during the week.

If keyless was on the XL I probably wouldn't even consider anything else

I originally ordered an XLT with Lux pkg, but after test driving a Lariat demo I liked the Lariat seats, lighting, larger display, and power rear window. I wanted to keep the price about the same so I switched to a Lariat without Lux (with Copilot 360, 400w inverter, hitch receiver, and moon roof). I had a spray in bedliner installed after it arrived. I think I have a unicorn because here almost everyone who ordered a Lariat seems to have the Lux package. :)

What I really want is the XLT hybrid LUX and copilot360. But I will be dropping the LUX for sure and adding the $100 trailer hitch. I really want 360 but not sure how much it will slow up delivery. I kind of need the vehicle as soon as I can get it. Decisions decisions

Yeah - I am really in-between an XL with only a trailer hitch. Partly in hopes of getting it sooner and also the appeal of getting it as cheap as possible.

On the other hand, if I am going to wait anyway. Bumping up to the XLT and also having Co-pilot 360 would be nice. Only I really hate the orange accents.

So I might just end up ordering the XL with Co-pilot 360 and be done with it.
If you hate all the orange inside look at this. Swapping the tray with a black one makes it look much better.

Get a Lariat and check all the boxes. An automobile - unlike housing - is where everyone can live the rich life. Do it.

Until Ford decided to push the order date back!

I was just going to go in and bite the bullet and order the Lariat Lux. I drive 70 miles a day, so the ACC and Lane Centering would be nice. My wife's van has keyless push button start and I love not having to fish out my keys. Wireless phone charging pad would be nice. Current truck has a sliding rear window that I use, so another one that's electric would be nicer than having to reach back and try and do it.

But then I think I could order a XL and because how long the orders are taking I could probably save damn near the whole purchase price! All those things I'd like are nice, but my current vehicle doesn't really have them so I'm also not missing out!

Damn you Ford!
What will change for the 2023 model?
