Ordered my Lariat Lux Hybrid on 10/25/21. Been driving an XL EB since April. I do want my hybrid soon but look forward to my free upgrade to a 2023.

Sorry to hear. Know feelings is personal and different for peoples situation on a very late MY22 or new MY23. Being in the Northeast it is best to pre rust treat in warmer weather so the oil will creep and better coverage. Plus personally bought ceramic, which needs above 50 degrees to be applied and cure properly. It will be touch and go for me and hoping for a warm October day or two to get things done. Was stationed and airborne at Ft Bragg way back when and know those issues are not a concern, BUT sure you are disappointed.

So I was doing my monthly check in with the dealer on Monday, and the unthinkable happened. My Oct 11th order of velocity blue Hybrid with Lux and CoPilot 360 and even protective film, got a build build week of Aug 29th.
As I heard the film was like a 2% item, I feel like I won the lottery. I requested the film be removed in January but that salesperson that no longer works for the dealer never did it, so I was like oh well then it gets pushed to 23. But to my surprise it got scheduled.
I will contain true happiness until I drive off the lot with it, but I am excited at the possibility.

Congratulations you definitely won the lottery.

So Gents, watched the LM update last night and heard no hybrids built in August? I have a XL hybrid ordered 10/26 ..cp360, sun roof, trailer hitch and had a production date week 8/8 so I called Ford cs line 4375 to get update and was given new number 800-392-3673 Ford rep verified my info and told me it only moved back a week to 8/15..Vin 860xx. So I’ll check in a couple weeks

This worries me as have a Vin 951xx which is 9,100 higher, which means my real build week is around 10/10. Was given a 8/29 build date but if built by production number portion of the VIN, looking at 2 months after you. How ever nothing goes as we guess and may not be 2 months but will certain be way past my most recent build date check of 9/12

This is just me thinking out loud but based on the number of scheduled build dates that have been repeatedly pushed back I suspect the planners at Ford are going to be very concerned about scheduling too many builds in the final available weeks. They have to finish everything they have VINed as a 2022 before they switch over to making 2023's.

I bet they don't schedule any retail order Mavericks into the final couple of weeks in case they need to bump some of builds back a week or two into those slots. If they have to do that better to displace some stock dealer units that don't have to be delivered.

My guess is that they will schedule week of September 19th and 26th sometime next week or the week after. When they fill up September they won't schedule anything into the three available weeks in October and use those for building scheduled orders that got pushed back plus some dealer stock to fill up allocations for the model year.

If I am correct anyone who doesn't get a VIN and build date by August 5th is officially out of luck.
I’m going to toot my own horn for a minute and note that I called this exact scenario on July 22nd. See the quote above. The only thing I didn’t see coming was the extension of production into November.

Why did they push the start of the 2023 builds into November? I think they were in a box on the already scheduled hybrids which is why we see post after post with people getting their build dates pushed back. Ford had no choice but to extend the production window to ensure that they could produce everything with a VIN already issued.

Even though they will not schedule any new builds into November they now can push existing hybrid builds into November if they have to. In the meantime they can crank out basic Eco-boost model and either fill retail orders with them or make dealers happy by sending them some dealer stock that they will sell at a markup.

No one knows exactly why but pretty clearly some component of the hybrid drive train is not only constrained but also severely delayed in delivery preventing them from building even the units they had already planned to turn out. If I’m correct then actually there is probably zero chance anyone else with a hybrid gets scheduled this week. They are already in a bind, they won’t add to it further.

At this point I’m 99% convinced I’m not getting a 2022. I’m going to start making my plans accordingly and I think anyone not scheduled needs to decide how they want to proceed.

To hedge my bet, a month ago I put down a deposit on a 2023 Honda CRV hybrid. It will be interesting to see whether the Maverick or the CRV arrives first.
It appears that the Ford management team doesn't know whether to shit or go blind. Just sayin'....

I welcome all October Hybrid Orders to unite tomorrow and focus our energy on getting scheduled. I hope and think there will be a few of us chosen.
I read on the forum that 202 hybrids were no longer going to be produced so I stopped by my dealer (South Bay Ford, Gardena, CA). My Lariat Lux, CP360 has a production date of 9/5/22 along with a VIN. The Sales Manager said that the ground transportation had improved around here and that if the production date holds up, they believe that the truck will be here by the first week in October. Fingers crossed! Ordered 10/18/21

Couldn't wait for Friday, checked with Ford chat and no joy, still unscheduled. Almost certainly a 2023 for me then.

That’s not how it works exactly. The VINs are sequentially scheduled but not sequential in production.

I have a VIN 917XX and a build week of 8/29 (originally 8/22)

my 10/25/21 order (Velocity Blue XLT hybrid with sunroof and hitch) got scheduled for mid June…that was a miracle, but then got pushed to mid August build date. At least for now…Anyone that ordered a VB Mav has to get built in 22 so I’m sure it should happen soon! Haha
I ordered 10-30 velocity blue hybrid lariat with 360 scheduled for sept 29. We where sure we would have to pick a new color. Hope the date doesn’t move🤣
