Why did I just get an email Ford saying my build date of 7-4 was being moved back due to parts constraints when it’s been in production since 7-01? I even called the dealer and Ford to verify. What the hell is going on with Ford?
Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Which way do you want it?

My original build date was the end of may, and the Ford tracking site said in production for a couple of weeks... Then got an email moving production to June 27, followed by another one saying July 4... I haven't able to log on the Ford tracking since mid-june, so i called last week and was told that my truck has been built (I believe on June 28) and should arrive at the dealership July 23-29th. I'm not expecting it to really arrive then, but fingers crossed. I think Ford is trying their best. Good luck everybody!

I don't think "in production" means what you think it means. I interpret it to mean that you've been sent to the factory's production queue. Not that it's necessarily being built on the line yet.

After a few delays to my production week I finally got the email that my production would be the week of July 4th. For the last 10 days it was fun to click the link in that email saying my vehicle "is in production". Today's new email was they are sorry they didn't actually produce my truck and they will get back to me "at least every 45 days"! So sweet, with new contact every 45 days how can a guy still not feel loved?
I got the exact same letter

Yep got the same letter. My bill date was moved four times and was supposed to be built a week of July 4th same as you. Went in the production went from Bonnie and paint to upfitting and stopped after that. All we can do is sit and wait frustrating but we got to remember we're not the only ones going through this. Keep our channels up

I’m DONE. Order September 8 hybrid lariat luxury package copilot 360 and a sunroof. I’ve heard absolutely nothing from Ford. I’ve called them twice and yes I have an order. I have talk to my dealer and yes everything’s fine. Still at priority code 10 even though Tim Barth says I should be at a priority 2. I’ve talked to my dealer about this and they say Tim Barts doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I AM DONE. I have never bought a Ford in the past and FORD CERTAIN I will never be buying a Ford in the future. There’s definitely a difference between patients and wishing. Think about it, ALL you June, July, August, September orders you are now wishing for a truck. My 2019 Frontier SL with 17k mi. The craziness is over I feel so much better.

I cancelled my maverick order after it got delayed past August. That's telling me its getting rolled over, and i couldnt wait any longer. Waited already 8 months for Ford to keep delaying it further, so I instead had to get a 2013 Lexus ES 300H in spectacular condition and has leather seats plus a sunroof, plus most importantly, isnt recalled for being a literal fire hazard. I really was going to give ford a chance, they kind of let me down on a relatively simple to build car. The dealership was amazing, it's a shame ford had so many "constraints" for a base model truck.
what size bed is on your "spectacular" 9 year old SUV?

If you really cancelled your order it aint getting "rolled over"! Going nowhere Gilbert. Mama says going nowhere!

I ordered my hybrid XLT with Lux package, 360, and a few other options in August 2021. Dropped the hard tonneau cover as advised by Ford. Had the VIN, was supposed to be built on June 6, 22, then got moved to 6/27., then 7/4, then who knows when? I think Ford should just allow us to change to the 2023 order instead of getting the 2022 model right around the time when others are getting their 2023 Mavericks. Honda, Kia, and a few others are already selling 2023 models, and my 2022 is not even being built.

The Frontier seems like a good truck, albeit absolutely archaic. It also does not at all seem a suitable substitute for a Maverick hybrid. MPG in the teens, body on frame, halogen headlamps.. the list goes on and on as to why I don't see how this is acceptable. But to each their own, absolutely, so congrats on the truck.

I’ll trade you my spot in line for my MY23 rollover and purchase your MY22 hybrid.

Maybe it's one of the "on wheels" vehicle, meaning it's in their lot sitting with everything but a missing computer chip. Once the chip arrives, they install it and it's on its way.

Built- not shipped
Your vehicle has been built and we are arranging shipment to your dealer. This step could take a few days to a week.

Order Confirmed 09/29/2021,

  • Built 07/07/2022, Step 3 of 5 , In Progress
    Built07/07/2022

I believe i can identify the problem, apparently there are more than 7 days in a week in Mexico
Similar situation here: ordered 9/20/21, built 5/23/22, shipped (no date except that it says it’s now in Michigan. It’s a hybrid. I’m guessing they are working on the electrical cable and recall issues, etc. when the parts become available.
