Tim,

So just to clarify....

If you want to take something off of your 22 order to see if it gets build faster with no guarantee that it will, that has to be done by July the 8th?

If you dont change it, then on the Aug 2nd through the 15th you and your dealer sit down and make a new order for the MY23 with those options and they will be able to somehow get to the factory that you are MY22 order and those will be pushed to the front of the line of the regular order MY23's?
But...
If your truck gets scheduled before Aug 2, then you dont have to do that, unless you want a MY23?

There should be no scheduling of MY22 after Aug thet 2nd, or if there is and you do a MY23 and then get scheduled your MY23 order goes away?

The MY22s will be built all the way up to the middle of Oct for those last orders?

With all these dates and what is happening I am getting a bit confused and my saleman is clueless as of last Saturday.

Thank you.
My understanding is that once you place a new MY23 order, Ford will issue you a Private Cash Offer and will cancel your MY22 order. You won't be scheduled on your MY22 order after that. If you still want to try for the MY22, you need to wait before placing the new order.

Asked my dealer to remove the luxury package, and add the trailer hitch, however, he said that it would not be possible to add the hitch. Does anyone know if this is indeed the case? Is it also a constraint? Seems like it's a pain to install it aftermarket and $100 is a steal.
@fordvideoguy do you have experience with this? Is there any information that I can show my salesman if it's still possible to add the hitch? (also, many thanks for your efforts to keep everyone informed, Ford corporate can learn a lot from you)

I have the exact same questions and concerns. When I spoke to Ford Customer Service Rep he told me that my order was "Unscheduled but clean" and I should wait a bit before switching to MY23 if I still wanted MY22. I really want some clear official instruction from Ford to A) Get my MY22 built as ordered or B) move to the MY23 with same order and not lose my place in the "queue" for MY23 production orders. I also hope that the "special offer" is that Ford honors the price we contracted for in November 2021. Is that too much to ask?

Now I’m confused, yet again. Per Ford Authority News https://fordauthority.com/2022/07/2...ers-will-open-two-weeks-earlier-than-planned/, Ford is opening up orders for the MY23 Maverick on August 2 for the general public, as I read it. I thought those of us with existing orders could reorder then and the general public was a couple of weeks later. Is that no longer true? @fordvideoguy I’m thinking Ford is gonna wash their hands of the whole thing. If you want a MY23 Maverick, you are on your own and no “Private Offer”

Although many say that there will be some sort of magic "linking" of the orders to ensure priority to those who "rolled over", I am starting to suspect that the "Private Cash Offer" from Ford is going to be the only thing we get for our troubles.....

Don't quote me on it (unless it turns out I am right....haha) since I have no actual knowledge, but it would not surprise me if we hear from FordVideoGuy in a week or two that he found out that you are free to essentially "move" your 2022 order and use the "Private Cash Offer" at a new dealer for 2023, but this is only possible because they aren't tracking or linking your 2022 and 2023 orders at all, and the 2023 order is going to be seen as a discrete and totally siloed order not attached to any other data from the past.

While I would be hella mad, I could see Ford saying "Nobody gets any sort of priority from being rolled. We are going to try to go by 2023 order date regardless of if you were coming over from 2022 or not. That private cash offer was our compensation to you for being rolled. Nothing more, nothing less. Take it or leave it".

The way I understood it is that you may still get a 22 should they decide to build it. But even if that's not the case I am converting the order to a 23 as soon as I can.

They are wrong, I just added the optional hitch to an XLT order without the Luxury Package and it saved it with no issues. And the hitch is not listed on the constraint list I attached below.

I contacted my dealer yesterday to go over my options after receiving the email. He said that he didn't know about the email, but would check with his GM. He called me back about 10 minutes later and said that when they checked the status of my build it is assigned August 8th as a build date and a VIN # is now assigned.

You're right...that hasn't even been confirmed yet. Not by Tim Bartz or the one big dealer on the Maverick Facebook pages. Even if dealers put 2022 orderers in before all new 2023 orders in August by a day...it doesn't matter. Case in point...there are a lot of people that ordered a Maverick June-August of last year that don't have a Maverick...but tons that ordered after August that do. Myself included. I ordered mine June 10th...no Maverick.

But, for literally the first time ever, my dealer called me one hour ago to tell me my truck should be here in about a week. I should be happy, but I'll believe it when I see it and after I pay....hopefully for MSRP.
thought you posted you are in production already? Even if not in your driveway right now, you are still way ahead of many of the rest of us not even scheduled at this point..

Emailed my dealer today to have the tonneau removed. Emailed me back a new sales sheet with the cover removed, and a slightly higher cost for the xlt hybrid and for the lux package. The difference was only like $655, almost the cost of the cover. And they blasted me back to priority 10. Wasn't there a way to get around this? The higher charges and the priority code?

I’ve confirmed several times with my dealership and Ford customer service that my order is definitely placed and awaiting production. But I’ve received zero emails from Ford and no communication at all from the dealership unless I call them. Anyone else in the same boat?

For those that might have missed it in the other thread, here is the e-mail that is going out today.

I received this letter from Ford by email. Sent a note to the sales manager at our local Ford dealer and he says, "your truck is scheduled to be built the week of 8/8/22". So no idea what is going on, Ford says you probably won't get it, dealer says, you are scheduled. So I am just patiently waiting, since 10/25/21... XLT Luxury AWD 2.0L in Alto Blue.

. You might want to check your math on that increase.I dropped the lux and 360 and the base cost of my hybrid xlt went from 22280 to 23360. They tell you to drop the constraints and they stick a $1080 price increase on you. Nice guys!

The same happened to me when I just changed the color a while back, it was my understanding that was normal but the price protection would apply once it was delivered and purchased. I have no idea which price ford will use when issuing the private offer
