Both the dealer and Ford customer service say my order status is in "order processing".

Yes if I recall correctly, the Ford memo did state that the dealer allocation piece was going away, but I think you will find that part was never implemented by Ford or however you want to "describe it". I think others on this forum and Tim (fordvideoguy) can confirm or correct my understanding. To my understanding, Dealer Allocation is still alive and applicable in addition to constrained items even on our customer orders for the Maverick

I have a VIN, not yet scheduled 1st Edition EB AWD 4k Rapid Red - both ordered and confirmed in August 2021... Are you indicating this VIN will require me to change to a 2023 order? I hope not, I purchased this for the 1st Edition!!!

What do you mean you have a VIN but "not yet scheduled"? If you have a VIN, you are at least scheduled to a build week. It might change, but it is scheduled.

Also, if you have a VIN, you are a lock for a MY22 vehicle.

I realize some of you know a lot - but in this case when I check my status on the Ford site, I have a VIN but NO SCHEDULED DATE - verbally I have been told the build will occur in August - originally I was told that the build was happening this week, in July, that changed. I am NOT HAPPY if I cannot get a 1st Edition, RR AWD, 4k package - I see this as a great vehicle to drive and a collector in the future, which I won't see happen...

You have a scheduled week. You will get a build DAY much closer to that scheduled week. You'll get what you ordered.

It will not be a collectors item, however.

Yes the tracker does not show the scheduled week. You can get that from your dealer or Ford Chat/Call line. But since you have a VIN, your truck is going to be built to your specs and be built prior to 10/21 of this year. You should have it by the end of November at the latest.

We're into the 95,000 range of how many Mavericks they're going to build for MY22. The "First Edition" package is not rare, and does not contain rare things. It is a fully optioned Maverick - of which there are many - and it has some accessories (available to everyone) and some graphics that wash off in car washes.

I'm not knocking your truck. It's a nice build.

Does a 22 order holder have to order (2023) with SAME dealer to keep their place in line?

I get it... and yes, it is not rare today. As I concluded in my first statement: "in the future, which I won't see happen... " - it's a roll of the die, and I will have by the time this makes collector status... hahaha
