At 42 it took me 2 days to wash, iron remove, clay bar, ceramic wax and detail the interior/exterior. And that was with 1 week of rest in between. I can only hope i can muster the energy to get out of bed when I'm your age. Lol the greatest generation never ceases to amaze me. Kudos to you sir.

I told myself I was too old to be messing with car audio anymore which is why I got the B&O speakers, but for everything I love about the Maverick, the speakers/acoustics are still lacking. The subwoofer is adequate and I can live with the door, center and tweeter speakers, but those c pillar speakers sound like trash to me. Very hollow and tinny sounding and doesn't match the volume of the other speakers despite all tuning efforts.

I went ahead and ordered a pair of kicker csc4 to replace those. Also ordered kilmat sound deadening mats. Of course since I'll be sweating already, I ordered enough to do the c pillars and the front door panels. If I have any leftover, I'll do the rear passenger doors to reduce road noise as well.

Safe to say the first half of my July 4th is accounted for.
And down the car audio rabbit hole I go. Now I want to replace the door speakers... Sigh...

I have been out of the car audio game since I got married almost 18 years ago... but I have already decided, were going down this rabbit hole again 🤦‍♂️. Hopefully this time I will make better decisions 😆

Also, I haven't updated here in a while. We will call it a weekly update? Made a trip to Laredo last week (second pic) Texas bugs are no joke. Also before that trip I added my 1st sticker to the Mav. I don't want a lot of stickers but a couple of tasteful ones anyway

I know I won't be adding any more bass than what the stock subwoofer provides. Those days of annoying the cars around me at the light are over with. I'm more about refining and improving the mids and highs to allow the sub to compliment the overall listening experience. Hopefully I can stop at the door and c pillar speakers, but every after market upgrade just makes the difference in sound quality from the oem speakers that more stark.

More than likely I end up replacing the dash tweeters and center.

How was adding the assist? I want one for mine when it comes, but I’m not very handy.
I didn’t think I’d need it but it sure was nice after I put it on! It took me all of 10 minutes once I got the right size tools. Definitely worth it!

Wow! If I didn’t see your TX tag I would have thought those were FL lovebugs!

We have those to, but these things were crazy big! I don't know what they were but for a 5 mile stretch it sounded like rain, bit it was the bugs. They were not fun to get off

I agree it's easy to install and well worth it. I also painted the mounting plates with some handy spray paint that nearly match my Maverick!

When I'm planning a trip, I spray the front end with Meguires Quick Detail Spray and leave it on. Bugs come off easier after the trip.
