Looks great! How easy/hard is it to get these things on and off if you need to?

They're held on with four clamps, and the wires are on quick connects. That being said, you have to be really careful about the seals, and it weighs about 200 lbs. Not something you're going take on and off in a hurry. I've contemplated getting a garage ceiling hoist like for Jeep hard tops, but I just don't see myself taking it off enough to justify it.

Thanks for the additional pictures!

Wow, 200lbs... My friend has a 90s ranger with a fiberglass top and its light enough that 200lbs shocks me for the Maverick. For my application, a good seal will matter, and my friends only roughly seals, likely because of how often it is on-and-off (and age)...

That's what the guys installing it told me, but I think that's just and estimate. That being said, watching them it was definitely a two man operation. It's definitely very rigid and solid, and I'm sure the headliner, wiring, etc adds up. The windows are also large pieces of tempered glass (not poly), so they're heavy too.

So I found a dealer who thought he could order matte black (a factory Jeep color). He placed the order, and the order got cancelled. He called and they said they're only doing OEM Ford colors. He thinks its a plant-by-plant decision, so more likely than not no one on the west coast can order matte black...

A.R.E. finally has the V series available for order (*20wk* time estimate) and I can get it in either Jeep black or their heavy duty black coating (an upcharge, and I forget the name).

Decisions, decisions...

What state are you in that you were able to get matte black? I am in Illinois and found Leer dealer. Will ask him about getting this color.
Does OEM have a black color?
Thx

It's probably a Jeep color.

They didn't tell me the exact code, I just said I wanted a matte that would match the plastic. They even went so far as to texture it a little. No additional cost for either. Radco is the name of the local dealer, not sure if they're in Illinois.

Don't you think that V-series (level w/cab) is going to be awful low to work with? Unless you're somewhat short?

Yeah, I originally thought I wanted a flush top, but now that I have the snug top installed I don't think a flush one would be very functional.

Hello Pogeegitz really like your setup, just had a quick question on the bed top. I plan on doing something a little different with mine and would like to remove the rear window, and take out the glass section of the bed top which I think is removable I was just wondering does the rear window line up exactly with the opening on the bed top if that makes any sense I think some people call it a pass through, just wondering if you could take a picture from inside the cab looking at the rear window. Thanks

That’s what I’ve been trying to tell people, too. I like the flat top look better and have done that on five different pickups before this. But on this it would suck. Too low inside, and the view out the back would be impossible.
