⏱ Maverick Scheduling Next Week (6/13) For Production Build Week 8/1

I've given up, bought a Nissan Frontier SV. Now I've got to figure out how to get my $500 deposit back from my Ford Dealer. They said they would have to check on how that works being I "special ordered" a Maverick that isn't even going to be built this year.

Just wait it out, buy the Maverick when it comes in and resell it to Carmax for $6-8k more than you bought it for.

So my Mav. was scheduled for June 08, 2022, and according to my dealer, the unit is currently "Sent to Plant" on the tracker it's been "in production" since the beginning of June. So that means it'll get built this month? Not pushed to the build week of 8/1 correct? The mixed comments got me confused...

At this point being scheduled only means your vehicle will be built in MY22. It can be rescheduled several times before it is finally built.

Still no word from Ford on my build, ordered beginning of December of last year and recently talked to dealer within the last week who said it should be getting scheduled for beginning of august…. Guess they know about as much as I do when it comes to the actual scheduling, which is nothing lol…. Hoping to hear something from Ford this month as the last email I got from them told me to expect another update on my order sometime in June

According to Tim at Long McArthur Ford, having a VIN # means your unit will be built in 2022.

If you have a VIN it will be built this year as the tenth character in the vin number is the year it was built. So according to ford if you have a VIN it will be this year. The other thing is once the VIN is assigned it is stamped into the engine block and attached to other parts of the truck. if they move it now the whole thing would have to be trashed and restarted with a new VIN.

I doubt if they stamped anything with my VIN...... All they have to do is resend and email with new VIN and poof. My23

Got an email saying mine shipped. Although I think that just means it is now sitting waiting to be shipped.
Seems kind of quick to have the bedliner done (1 day), but maybe they finally figured out the backup in that area?
Anyway, figured more evidence that your date should be ok.

Just called Ford and my build date has been changed to week of July 4th. Isn't the plant closed the following two weeks after that?
This is the 5th time they have changed my build date. Lariat Hybrid, FE, RR.

I am past losing my patience, as we all are, But what can we do?

Yes, shutdown weeks 7/11 & 7/18.

Called Ford, told my XLT Hybrid build date is being moved from 6/27 to 8/22. This for an 10/13/21 order. I have a VIN.
