Could this be why my Maverick is not getting allocated?

nope it was/is bs allocation system
I thought the same thing... But what EXACTLY makes it a bs allocation system?? Ford said they're trying hard to fill orders as fairly as possible but that obviously is not the case. The link I've posted is the single strongest factor that makes the allocation system BS only for certain people/dealers.

What do you NOT understand??
Demand for the Maverick has greatly exceeded Ford's projections and their ability to build them.

Tell us more about Joe Schmo and WHY you think your dealer is being punished by Ford.

I agree 100% that you (and all the other whiny snowflakes) should MOST DEFINITELY buy a Colorado asap.

What do you not understand - I've laid it all out.. Some people get filled way earlier than others for no particular reason other than the dealer they ordered from. This post looks to elaborate on that fact and what I can do about it... Thanks for chiming in.

I've resigned myself to the fact it will prolly be a year for me from the August 15 ordering date regardless of what the dealer may or may not be saying about it. I can live with it. The way I see it I am not bound to take it and if a great deal on something pops up in the meantime, oh happy day. I only drive 2500 miles a year so it is not asking much for the old Ranger to keep chooglin' on.

The bigger issue for me is what will interest rates be like a year from now. If they start climbing up to 1980's style rates, the old Ranger may be looking better and better. I'm old enough to remember people back then paying up to 15%. Hopefully it won't come to that.
As long as you make no major changes to your original order, you can still choose to take advantage of interest rates in effect as of the date that order was first placed.

Great news! No major changes were made. This gives me a bit of hope!

crazy to think if i only waited 7 months my truck would have came in feb.
Agree totally. Ordered 7/27/21 scheduled to be built 7/25/22 week and would have really liked to have waited 7 months instead of 13ish months.

But I want it NOWWWWWW 😭 Amazon delivery model has truly ruined the world!
7 months without a truck and 7 months without knowing when you will get your truck are two totally different things.

Not to mention this is a vehicle that people need to get to work, not a Crackerjack toy

As a retail order holding customer, you have -ZERO- control over Ford's turd allocation system. And good luck getting a dealer to be honest about, or even fully understand, their allocation status.

Still boggles my mind that all the genius executives at Ford apparently felt this was still the best way to handle direct retail customer orders; just like dealer stock. o_O

My dealer has been honest about it, but there's nothing they can do to speed it up. I ordered Dec 15, 2021 and was set at Priority 19. They had multiple Mavericks orders in the system ahead of me. That slowly went down to just 1 in front of me, and regional team bumped me to priority 2 April 8th. My dealer didn't get allocations in April or May. We're hoping any month now

7 months is not right now... But glad you felt the need to chime in.
I’m at 7 months and mine is scheduled to be delivered to the dealer on July 03. I could have gotten it soon but I didn’t want to remove the spray in bed liner.

Why did Joe Schmo who ordered the same truck from the dealer the next town over get his already, after ordering 2 months later than I did?

It seems like my dealer probably got caught selling new vehicles over MSRP and Ford is waging war on them by withholding my new vehicle order from being allocated to them. LINK

Does anyone have any tips on who I need to contact at Ford, or how much hell I need to raise, to get my truck allocated? I expected 4-6 months of waiting, but now I fear it may never get built.

Bowties have never let me down like this. I should have just bought a Colorado...
Contact your dealer or ford and check for constraints or unavailable options on your vehicle.

Solid suggestion 👍 But I ordered the base model with no add ons at all hoping to get a faster allocation

Did you confirm with ford that the dealer submitted the order correctly?
