Rear seat delete. Better yet, an extended cab. Though much as I want that, I can see how it would be at the bottom of Ford's list. Because not all of us need 4 seats.
Absolutely. A foot shorter cab, a foot longer bed, and save a few bucks without the extra doors. Sign me up.

I was thinking about why Ford decided to reset the driving mode to Normal all the time and for all ford vehicles.
  1. For some safety risk mitigation in case a driver keeps “sand” or other not optimal setting all the time?
  2. maybe normal is the mode that best guarantees long term reliability
  3. as advertised MPG consumption and performance are with normal
  4. or simply because 90% of drivers don’t use that drive mode option anyway…
There's a track mode on my Mustang, which is kind of silly because it's a convertible and nobody will let me track it. But if it stayed in track mode for the drive home that would be suboptimal. Maybe that's why Ford does it?

My FX4 has a button to disable "auto start", just like my F150.
Fog lights and heated seats on lower trims as options (y)

Glove box locks are almost useless unless they bring back the 2 key system so you can give the valet just the ignition/door key.
Wow your right, I never thought of that. Thanks for reminding me. My 2005 Canyon had a key start, 1 key fit all locks, including the glove box. The Mav has a push button start with a fob. I like to lock the glove box, in case my truck gets broken into, they won't be able to see my registration with my address on it, to go rob my house since they know I'm not home.

You really need slippery mode every time you get in because it’s raining?
Nope but works great on damp grass getting the utility trailer out of the yard.

Wish the 2.3 L was an available option. That would be one heck of a sport truck -)

I like the idea of a spilt bench rear, atleast as a optional seat package. Breaking up bed accessories from trim levels would be nice aswell. An optional auto stop delete would be great as long as it didnt significantly degrade starter quality.

The rest of what he said was largely useless to me.

If I had my way the infotainment screen would be pulled out and replaces with one of those fat radio decks with the screen that slides out ouf it and away when you dont want it(which is 95% of the time). There would also be a Bronco Sport Badlands rear diff option on FX4 models. I would also like to see a Power Boost option for the hybrid along with a larger bed mounted inverter for the 2.0, 1200 watt should be sufficient, I would be fine with that option dictating a dual battery setup which would be mounted where the hybrids is under the seat.

Obviously a manual and extended cab option would be great. Give me a 6 or 7 speed and a rear jump seat with a 5.25' bed. If you drop the tailgate you could fully sleep back there.

Another big one is roof rails with say a 500lb load capacity. That would be perfect. Doesnt have to be standard just and option.

FX4 should also have significantly improved approach and departure angles aswell as 245/65r17 tires optional. Dump the Pirellis and make the Falken 235s standard FX4 with 245s optional.

Also a sport package of sorts that we know is coming. I would like to see it with the maximum factory tune on the 2.0 maybe 280hp, 4k package standard(hitch optional), a more aggressive possibly rear bias drive mode, sport exhaust, 235s, etc etc.

Also I would like to see Ford Racing putting out suspension parts(on and offroad), aswell as engine tuning parts, and then of course wheels, seat covers and the rest of the junk. All Maverick specific.

Also redesign the rear sliding window so it is not pathetic.

I would like an email from Ford explaining the situation, giving me a date, an apology and a promise that I will get the truck at the price agreed upon price someday. It’s strange that this is too much to ask.

I must say I love my xl with tow hitch and spray in bed liner just the way it is. It is very nice to drive and I am glad Ford decided to give the no frills option to folks like me. I never understand how folks will spend twice as much for a vehicle to get so many creature comforts. That is why we are all different.
