Mine just arrived and plan on installing it this weekend.
Mine arrived yesterday, too! Now searching this thread for install instructions. Speaking of... anyone know how to remove the black cowling around the mirror?
Also, I've seen where folks have wired the mirror to existing wires inside the cowling (used for the sunroof) and others have run cables down to the passenger side fuse box. I also have a dash cam that is already wired to the fuse box, so if I can remove the cowling, tap into the cam wiring and hide all connections behind the cowling, that would be sweet.

That is my goal with the dash cam, to me, that is the best and easiest.

If it's like mine, black w/white stripe is switched power, Black is constant power. My ground wire had a circular end so it was obvious.
YUP thank you !!!!

This issue is the reason why I ran a separate power line (either 16 or 18ga is fine for dashcam/mirror load) from fuse box to dome light cavity, and THEN tap this new power source for both the dashcam and the mirror power. That means just one run from the fuse box, instead of one run for each device, or tapping into existing wires for either.

You're way ahead of us it seems! I think I can cleanly tap the dash cam wiring and tuck any wire mess under the mirror/light cowling. Thanks for confirming.

OK, I was able to install the Kia Mirror and tap into the wiring harness for the Dome lights. I watched a video on YouTube, and in the video, I watch the person telling which wires to use... Complete success. Had to make a run to O'Riely's to get wire connectors.

There are three "clips" holding the black cover on.

The second photo shows there is a "tether" connector that holds the panel (I couldn't figure out how to undo it)

We also took the cover/panel for the Dome light (I have a sunroof) down and disconnected the wires. I tapped into the wires for the dome light. The video I found did the same thing on another Ford vehicle and the same wires were there...

The black wire is your ground, the Purple wire is your (switch power) Yellow/green (last write on your right) wire is your constant power.

I used about a foot of the wire that came with the mirror, it was over kill but when everything is tucked back in place there is plenty of space.

In this photo you can see the green light is on the mirror, so the mirror is getting power. VERY simple and easy... Truly I could do this in about 25 minutes from start to finish.

Completely put back together looks factory.

Took a picture once the Mirror was calibrated to show the compass. Now, I need to program the homelink.

Can't believe how inexpensive this was from Kia.....

Outstanding guide on how to do this! Photos and narrative much appreciated. I like how you used existing power source without running more cables down to the fuse box. Thank you for paving the way for others like myself who needed guidance. One more favor ... can you post the YouTube link?

No problem, and thank you for the kind words. It was straight forward.

Did the Homelink work? If not. Mirror has Version 3 of Homelink. Need Version 4 to work on newer garage door openers. There is a module put out be Chamerlin that plugs into AC in garage that communicates with V3 and V4. Very easy to correct so the mirror works. Cost about $30 on Amazon.

If Homelink not working, look on back of mirror and see if it says VHL3. Version 4 says VHL4.

No, not yet. Too many other projects going on right now. I did find a video on the install, but I haven't had an opportunity to look at it.

Mirror installed just fine tonight - one issue though, the homelink buttons don't seem to do anything at all. Even holding buttons 1 and 3, which should normally reset homelink doesn't do a thing even with holding for over 1 minute. Did anyone have this issue with their mirror?
