Hybrid Shudder from electric to ICE (video uploaded)

I haven't seen anyone discussing this problem: I observe that when I am in all electric mode cruising and then push the break pedal, in some occasion the ICE engine will kick on, and then the whole vehicle shakes (not sure what's causing it but the shaking is loud and you can easily feel it) until it comes to a full stop, and then everything goes back to normal. I have encountered this problem for about 5 times.
Does anyone else see this issue while driving their hybrid? Thanks

Never happen to me. When the ICE comes on you should not even notice it. Get that over to your dealer right away would be my advice.

It may be using the ice engine for engine braking. Are you on a steep downhill? Not sure if that’s what’s happening but could be why. Especially if the batteries are at full charge it probably can’t use regen braking because it will over charge the batteries . Good luck

I believe this is not what's going on, it's on a flat surface and you can feel the whole vehicle shaking violently, definitely not normal.

I've had something similar occur on mine. I don't think it's related to the TSB related to rough idle since I'm not smelling sulfur.

I haven't experienced a shake as severe as yours, but it has occured at least 5 or 6 times since ownership. Always at very low speeds.

Mine just did it today-hybrid lariat with 2k miles.I was totally in shock-felt like a torque converter that won't unlock as you are stopping.has got to be a software issue that is forcing the engine to connect to the drivetrain as you are stopping.

How about something like software maybe not balancing torque properly through the planetary gear when switching starter/generator and causing the damper to slip multiple times. Take foot off brake pedal for a second and reapply or perhaps you are one of those person's that brake with left foot and right foot is on throttle pedal and you are sending conflicting data streams to the computer.
