Update: Finally purchased the trailer. HF 1720lb 4X8 folding trailer. Thanks to the advice in the forum, I'm going to prime and paint the trailer pieces before I assemble. While I'd like to weld everything together to make a stronger frame, I think bolting will be way easier. Bought some Loctite...
I was also looking at used...for some reason though Northen Virginia used trailer market is kind of bonkers. Some of the Lowes trailers are going for market price.
Yeah I looked at the tractor supply trailers. They seem like a pretty good deal, just slightly out of my price range for how much I'd be using it
Still, seems like good options for other Maverick owners who are towing more often.
I was originally thinking about a nicer trailer, but I thought about how much I'd be using it. I'm estimating I'd use the trailer less than 50 times in it's entire useful life. With the HF trailers ($750 fully built with registration), that works out to $15 a tow. Any higher cost and I'm...
Bob, Good feedback. They are the 12" tires. I actually need to do some investigation about the tire speed ratings too. This trailer may see 55-60mph, but never more than that. I towed a small u-haul trailer on I-95 with my old Civic...never again
Ha! Maybe I shouldn't get either considering my weight trajectory. 🙂
I'm about 220 now, but have been telling myself for years I need to lose about 30-40 lbs.
I'd be hauling typical weekend warriors stuff. Lumber for small projects, mulch, trash to the dump, etc...
When my kid gets a little older, I'll probably get into dirt bikes again and be hauling those around.
Hey everybody. I know if I wanted to tow stuff, I should have gone with the ecoboost and 4k tow package. I just couldn't justify the gas penalty for and activity I'd be doing less than 5% of the time.
Harbor Freight sells the right trailer for me...a cheap one. However, I'm struggling to...
Jsus pretending to be the guy who originally ordered the truck. He literally called after I signed all the paperwork asking if he could rescind his cancelation. I completely felt like crap for him.
I wouldn't worry too much about things breaking. Yes there are lemons, but there's waaaay more vehicles that are just fine... people just don't write about 'nothing happened stories.
Still, if you're looking for a list...
At the dealership:

I've had something similar occur on mine. I don't think it's related to the TSB related to rough idle since I'm not smelling sulfur.
I haven't experienced a shake as severe as yours, but it has occured at least 5 or 6 times since ownership. Always at very low speeds.
So last month I made the good and stupid decision to buy a cancelled retail order from a local dealer instead of waiting for my 11/15/2021 Hybrid order to get built (or not). After 4,000 miles and 30 days with the vehicle, I continue to feel like I didn't earn this purchase. Buying a 2022...
