Any recommendations for top-of-the-bed hard fold tonneau covers?

Here are the ones I’ve found so far and I’m interested to hear yours: (the 1st three come with a limited lifetime warranty)
  • Tonnopro hard fold
  • Advantage hard hat
  • Advantage hard hat premier
  • Extang solid fold 2.0
  • Gator tailback
  • Rugged liner HC3
  • Rugged liner E-Series
Whether they will make those for the Maverick is a whole other question. Note: that’s where this community can hopefully help… If you could take a minute, please call or email their customer support. Might help get the message! :)

A top-of-the-bed hard fold/trifold cover is my preference versus an inside-the-bed hard fold cover. The latter normally requires rails, attached to the inner edge and take away a couple of inches from the top width of the bed, which is not desired for a bed this small.

I've seen all of these listed on the various web sites but have never had any of those Brands.

I've had a BAK Hard Rollup and a BAK Tri-Fold. The quality of each was excellent. I didn't like any of them because of the way they blocked the rearview vision. The Hard Rollup blocked half of the back windshield. On occasion it would rock and tap on the glass. Drove me crazy. The Tri-Fold was nice but totally blocks the back windshield when up. It too would touch the glass and the roof line.

Never had a Soft Rollup or Retractable.

I am going to buy a Roll-N-Lock Retractable for my Maverick.

www.tonneaucoversworld.com has a bunch of covers showing for the Maverick.

Guessing it's a BAK Revolver like other Ford trucks they're rated for 400 lbs. I'd interpret that as a static load so figure half to a third that if you're carrying it in motion.

O wow. I thought those ratings are for the retractable version only. So you could put extra gears on it like for camping? How would one secure it if the bed is totally close?
